Tasty Tuesday~Creapy Cobwebs

 Creapy Cobwebs

We made these yesterday since there was no school because of Columbus day. Tara did most of it. These don't exactly look like cobwebs, but they still tasted really good. Check out the photos of T cooking at the bottom.
The recipe is from Kids Treats cookbook.

Ingredients:

4 to 5 cups vegetable oil, divided
1 cup dry pancake mix
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1. Pour 1 inch of oil into large deep skillet: heat to 350f.

2. Combine pancake mix, milk, egg & 1 tablespoon oil in medium bowl. Do not overmix. Place 2 tablespoons batter into funnel or squeeze bottle; swirl into hot oil to form cobwebs. Cook until bubbles form. Gently turn using tongs and slotted spatula; cook 1 minute or until browned. Drain on paper towels.

3. Repeat with remaining batter. If necessary, add more oil to maintain 1-inch depth and heat oil to 350f between batches.

4. Meanwhile, mix powdered sugar and cinnamon in small bowl. Sprinkle over cobwebs.
