I hate it when stores close
We've lost so many great stores over the years. We went in Circuit city on Sat. I figured it would be all junk left & it was. I know most people look at it like "Yay, there will be markdowns & clearances" when a store closes. But I look at it like the store is gone forever. Some of my faves that are gone are Ann & Hope, Rich's, Caldor, Ames (Zayres), Linens n' things, Lechmere & Filene's (my all-time fave that we lost). That's all New england (Northshore area). It seems like they close a store if there's more than 1 of it. Like they closed Linen's n' things, but we still have Bed, Bath & Beyond. Does that mean that we might lose either Michaels or AC Moore or Bath & Body works or The body shop? I'm sure I'm forgetting some stores that closed. You can add some if you think of any or if you have any stores in your area that closed.

i hate it when they close as well! i didn't get anything good from linens n things closing sale.
We had our Sam's Club stores close here last week. Can you imagine the world's largest retailer closing stores? That is a real statement of our economy.
I am not sure I could survive without Bath and Body Works. I am a terrible creature of habit and when something closes down and I can't get what I need it really throws me off.
I can handle any closing unless it's Target and then I would have to go into the fetal position!
Oh, also my husband's office - that I would hate to see close...
Sams and Walmart only close stores that are not making a profit. My DH works for Walmart and they are more than booming! There is soooo much work for them! And I am excited!
Out here in Southern California we lost Mervyns, Linens n Things and lots of car dealerships and supermarkets too! Theres plenty of office and store space for lease. Its pretty sad! i will cry if Michaels or Target closes!
Thanks for posting on my blog!
