Random Thoughts Tuesday
I took this photo yesterday. These are the flowers that I have outside of our garage. They had a visitor.
We have a chipmunk that lives in this hole in our driveway.
I'm so afraid that someone is going to run him over. Everyday when I come back from being out, he's just coming out of the hole or playing around there. Maybe I should get a "Beware of Chipmunk" sign. Tara named him Muck (Mucky) yesterday. When we came home today he came out of the hole & took off. So we staked him out for a few minutes because I really want to get a pic of him, but he didn't come back. I will get a pic eventually.

Chicken Murphy
I made this last week & it's really good. It reminds me of chicken creole or cacciatore, but it's different.
Chicken Murphy
Makes: 4 servings
Prep: 15 minutes
Cook: 15 minutes
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, sliced
1 can (28 ounces) whole tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1-1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2-inch chunks
1 large red sweet pepper, seeds removed, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1/2 large sweet onion, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices
4 hot cherry peppers, cut in half, seeds removed
1/2 pound orzo, cooked following package directions
Grated Parmesan cheese, optional
Directions
1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, until lightly browned and fragrant. Stir in tomatoes with liquid, salt and pepper. Break up tomatoes with the back of a wooden spoon. Cook over medium-high heat for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2. Add chicken, sweet peppers, onion and cherry peppers. Cook over medium-high heat, covered, for 5 minutes. Turn chicken over and stir peppers and onion. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until internal temperature of the chicken registers 160° on an instant-read thermometer.
3. Serve with cooked orzo. Sprinkle with grated cheese, if desired.

Fall frenzy
I'm in the meet up group for Stroller strides (an exercise program that they do @ the mall with your kids/strollers). I haven't done much with it, but today they had an event @ the mall. It was called the Fall frenzy. I had so much fun. They gave out free stuff from Lush & a free coloring book from Build a bear & a gift bag from Sephora. I ended up joining stroller strides for 4 weeks. So I start next Thursday.
We got to have a 10 minute mini Mom makover. I always wanted to have 1.

Fair finds & Twilight
I got this cute camera tile pendant yesterday @ the craft fair. My camera is in my purse @ all times, so I thought this was perfect for me.
I also got this Inspire bracelet, but I had the girl put the pendant on a necklace & now it doesn't hang right. So I might have hubs put it on a bracelet that I have. The necklace looks like a dog collar, which I know is in right now, but I just don't know if it's me. 10 years ago yes, but not so much now.

1st craft fair of the season
Today T & I went to the 1st craft fair of the season. We got to the place & I went to take the stroller out & it was not in the car. My Dad took T for a walk yesterday & didn't put it back in. So we walked up the st to the library & the craft fair. I carried her part of the way cause she kept saying up. I had fun, but realized that I forgot to take more $ with me. So I only had $16 with me. I was so bummed. I ended up getting a camera tile pendant, but when I got home I noticed that it wasn't really centered & you can see the cork in the background. Also got T a bead bracelet, but she seems to hate it. Maybe she'll like it when she's a little older or she's just in a cranky mood like her Mom. The good news is the fair is tomorrow too. So I'm going to go back with more $ & we'll prob go on a train ride that they had there, if it's there tomorrow.

Aloha Friday
Aloha Fridays are brought to you by Kailani from An Island Life. Over there in Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So Kailani thought that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting, too. So, for Aloha Friday, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Answer my question and put one of your own up on your blog. Link up and check out other blogs that participate at An Island Life.
My question is: What is your dream car?
Mine is an Eclipse. I know that sounds crazy. I got 1 in 2002 & totaled it in 04. I don't like the newer 1s, I like the year that I had 2000. It's also not a family-Mom car, so my Subaru Outback Impreza will have to do.

Twilight
Look what I got from the library today. I have not seen the movie or read the book yet. We'll probably watch it on Friday night or Sat. I'm anxious to see what all the hype is. I have no interest in reading the book. I know everyone usually says the book is better than the movie, but I usually like the movie better. That's just me. So I will prob write a post about how I liked the movie. I also dvr'd "Vampire diaries", but we haven't watched that yet. By the way 1 of my all-time fave movies is "The Lost Boys". Anyway, I think I'm getting a cold. I've had a sore throat for the past week & woke up with a killer 1 today & T has had a runny nose. So I'm going to keep this short & go lay on the couch & watch "The Rachel Zoe project".

I'm a shopaholic
I've really been crazy lately buying things. I need to stay away from any stores for a while (after I go to the mall this week). I got this leather looking jacket today @ Walmart. I realized a year or so ago that I don't have any leather jackets. I grew up in the 80's, so I always had at least 10 at a time. Not sure where they all went. I wouldn't wear those anyway cause some had fringe on them. Even tho' fringe is back in. So I got this jacket today for $30.
Also got these slippers @ Target, but I think I need to go & get the next size up.

My nailpolish collection
I was so excited by Vampy Varnish's post yesterday http://www.vampyvarnish.com/ that I just had to play with my nailpolish tonight. I don't have nearly as many as her (she has around 1000) but I love them just the same. haha. I've actually thrown out a ton of them this year that were old. I re-organized them by brand. I haven't kept up with that much lately.

Old friend
1 of my old friends found me last week. She sent a note to my parent's house asking for my e mail & phone #. I've known her since 1985 & hadn't talked to her for 4 or 5 years. I called her yesterday & we talked for an hr & 1/2. I'm hoping we can get together in person real soon. I love finding old friends. It's so much fun.

I'm losing it
Tonight I put on T's pjs & we went to brush her teeth. All of a sudden she pointed down & said wet. There was a wet spot on the floor & I noticed that her pants were wet. My hubby came in to help me brush her teeth & we went to check her diapers & change them. Well he took her pants off & there was no diaper. Oops. I guess I have too much on my mind.

Piggy paint review & 15% discount
I've been wanting to try Piggy Paint for a while. I had painted my daughter's nails with regular nailpolish recently & a little while later put her down for a nap & when she woke up, all of her nailpolish was gone. I was horrified. So I was very excited when I got a sample of Piggy paint in the mail to try. We received Candy-coated to try & also the nail polish remover. The color was so pretty. I painted my 2 year old daughter's finger nails & toe nails.
