Lately I've been checking out this site. http://www.hungry-girl.com It gives you healthier choices of the foods that you love. They also have a book. I'm thinking of getting it. I've also just started making 1 new recipe a week too. I did 2 new recipes this week. I might post 1 of them soon. 1 was from Hungry girl.

Real Housewives

Why don't they have normal non-rich housewives on that show? For 1 season at least. I shop a lot, okay it's at Dollar tree or Walmart, but I'm a shopaholic too. I guess D tree isn't as exciting as shopping @ Tiffany's. I also luckily don't have quite as much drama in my life as they do, but I think they should have a normal housewife show. It is fun watching them shop @ all those fancy stores isn't it. Did anyone see that there is a Southern belle show coming on soon on Soapnet? Another show I will get sucked into watching. I'm also looking forward to the new NJ Real housewive season.

My Sister gave me this for Christmas. It doesn't say much on the container about what flower it is, so I googled it. I love Sunflowers. I think I'm gonna plant them this week.

Today I finally met my friend Pattie from Myspace. We've known each other for like 5 years on Myspace & know a lot of the same people, but never met in person. We met for lunch & went back to her place for a little while. Her hubby Steve & Anthony have the same fave band. So that's cool.

Long day of shopping

Not that I'm complaining, but I had a ton of stores to run to today. I really do think I'm a shopaholic. I do get some good deals. I got 3 shirts in Kohls & 2 bras. They were all on sale & I got a $10 coupon that I can use after 4-28. I love Kolhs. I always find clothes when I go there. Also got Anthony 2 shirts & went to BJs & got diapers & razors. Then to Salvation army to drop off some stuff. So I'm really tired.

What day is it?

Now that I'm a sahm I never know what day it is. I usually think it's a day ahead of what it really is. I only know what day it is by what I watched the night before on tv. Is that sad or does that happen to all sahms? You don't know what day it is & they all run into each other.

CK scrapbooking convention

I finally registered for 2 classes @ the scrapbooking convention in May. I've kind of been putting it off. But I did it last night & I'm sure it will be fun. 1 of my friends already signed up for the same classes. I'm really looking forward to it.

I did a scrapbooking stuff swap on Cafemom. I got the package on Saturday & got all of this cool stuff. Thanks a lot Jenny. I love it all.

I was real happy. I got some pjs for $6.49 & 2 tank tops (buy 1 get 1 free) for $7.99. We also got Tara a ton of clothes.

planting herbs

My friend gave me 3 of these last year. I tried planting 1 last year & nothing happened. So yesterday morning I thought I'd try these 2, Basil & chive. It says to keep them moist & put in a sunny window. Well we don't have any windowsills, so I really don't know where to put them. I'm giving it another try though.

I've seen Tori Spelling on a bunch of shows lately doing interviews. Her reality show will be coming back on soonish. I can't wait. I think I'm going to get her new book soon too. Not that I'll ever get to read it.

Happy

The weather has been so sunny & nice this week, that I've been in such a good mood. Spring will do that to me. This Friday it's suppose to be around 70, so we're heading to the park for the 1st time this year. Spring rocks.

Chili Rellenos recipe

This is 1 of our fave Mexican recipes. We had it tonight. It's not hot. You can probably use hot chiles if you do like it hot.


Ingredients:
3 cans (4 oz size) whole mild green chiles, seeds removed
6 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
6 oz. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/3 cup flour
1 can (8 oz size) evaporated milk
2 eggs
1 can (8 oz size) tomato sauce

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a medium bowl, beat evaportated skim milk with eggs & flour until smooth.
Split open chiles: set aside
Mix jack & cheddar cheeses together. Reserve 1/2 cup of cheese for topping.
In a 1 & 1/2 quart casserole dish, alternate layers of chiles, cheese & egg mixture. Slowly pour tomato sauce on top of & sprinkle with the reserved cheese. Bake for approximately 1 & 1/4 hour.

Questions

What is the difference between laundry soap & fabric softener (liquid)? I bought fab softener thinking it was laundry soap. I do use the sheets. Dryer sheets. Also is there a difference between a muffin pan & a cupcake pan? Thanks for the help.

Good day

Today I had a doc appointment & then went to Goodwill. I dropped of something & found this toy shopping cart for $1.99. I cleaned it up & it's in good shape.

I was driving around & found this apple orchard. I was so excited because I love these trees (& cherry blossoms). So I will go & get a ton of pics when they are blooming.

Colors

I know that everyone has favorite colors, but I just realized recently that I only wear blue, purple, pink & black & occasionally black, browngreen, gray & white. Okay, I guess that sounds like a lot, but since I started scrapbooking it made me realize that my background colors are mostly in purple's & pinks, to match my clothes. So I'm going to try to start buying other colors (no orange or yellow). Also most of Tara's clothes is given to her, so she mostly has pink & purple too. I'll buy her orange & yellow, just not me.

All you Magazine

I've seen this Magazine posted on other people's blogs. I finally bought 1 today. It's only sold @ Walmart & has a bunch of coupons in it. I paid $2.24 for it & it had a free Rimmel Sexy curve mascara coupon in it. So I got the mascara with the mag. The mascara was $6 something. There are more coupons I will use too. Also on the Walmart website you can sign up to get free samples.

Busy April

We have a lot going on this month. I signed Tara up for Storytime @ the local library. It starts next Monday for 5 weeks. Easter of course. A playdate here with our Mom group. Meeting my friend from Myspace. I've known her for almost 6 years. Anthony knew her from years ago & she knows tons of people that I know. She use to work with my ex-roomie & also knows 1 of my oldest friends & tons of other people. But we never met. Plus fleamarkets & I think we're going to the Kittery outlets soon & hopefully we'll have some nice weather & be able to get to the park.
