Fake Shamrock shake

I decided to try to make my own shake since they sold out a few days ago. It wasn't bad, just needs a little tweaking. I used light ice cream & 1% milk. It just needs a bit more mint & maybe some ice mixed in with it in the blender.
Fake Shamrock Shake

Ingredients
2 cups vanilla ice cream or soy ice cream
1 1/4 cups 2% low-fat milk or soymilk
1/4 teaspoon mint extract
8 drops green food coloring
Directions
1 Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until smooth.
2 Stop blender to stir with a spoon if necessary to help blend ice cream.
3 Pour into 12-ounce cups and serve each with a straw.
4 Happy St Patrick's Day!

I am going to try that, only I'm going to call it "Spring Green" shake or something and pass it off as an Easter shake!!! Tee hee! Thanks for the recipe!

Shamrock shakes are one of my favourite things. I actually got one this year!! I may have to follow your recipe and make at home.

We tried for two weeks to get a shamrock shake and they were sold out every time!

My stomach honestly just growled when I read your shamrock shake recipe. I totally want one! Good for you for going out on a limb and making it yourself when the stinkin' stores were all sold out. So not fair!
