Friday Favorites. Target finds. 4.30.21

 Happy Friday. Wow, this has been 1 long week. School vacation week & we had no plans, so we all were home together because we had some rainy/gloomy days. April was a really stressful month. I'm looking forward to May. Linking up with Andrea & Erika.

1. Outdoor pillow. I got this at Target. I love anything palms. This was $5.

 

2. Journey shirt. I've been wanting this shirt for a while now. I've been seeing You tubers wearing it.

3. Embrace shirt. I saw this shirt & knew I had to buy it right away. I'm really trying to be more positive in life & I love all of these sayings.

4. Lantern. Our house is light blue, so I thought this would look nice with it. They had a few other colors. I know they had pink too.

5. Mrs. Meyers soap. I'm not a huge fan of rose, but I did get this soap. I love the Lilac 1. I've been buying that over the years. I have the multi-purpose spray & the soap already.

What I'm reading now

 I finished my last book about 4 days ago, so I got this book from the library. This is #16 in this series. I think I've read 2 or 3 of her other books & they have the movies of some of the books on the Hallmark mystery channel. Allison Sweeney from Days of our lives plays Hannah in the movie. I'm the only person in the world that likes the movies better than the books. I always have to be unique I guess.

This summer has been warmer than usual in Lake Eden, Minnesota, and Hannah Swensen is trying to beat the heat both in and out of her bakery kitchen. But she's about to find out the hard way that nothing cools off a hot summer day like cold-blooded murder. . .
It's a hot, muggy evening, and the last thing Hannah wants to do is squeeze into a pair of pantyhose for the Grand Opening of the refurbished Albion Hotel. But with Hannah's famous Red Velvet cupcakes being served in the hotel's new Red Velvet lounge, she can't bring herself to back out.

The party starts off with a bang with the unexpected arrival of Doctor Bev, a Lake Eden legend who left town in shame after she two-timed her fiancé one too many times. Bev's splashy appearance on the arm of a wealthy investor is the talk of the night. But the gossip comes to a screeching halt when a party goer takes a mysterious dive off the hotel's rooftop garden.

The victim is the sheriff's secretary, Barbara Donnelly, and she is barely clinging to life. The question is, did she fall--or was she pushed? As the police investigate, the only one who isn't preoccupied with the case is Doctor Bev. She's too busy trying to stir things up with her old flame Norman, who's reunited with Hannah.

Just as Hannah's patience with Bev runs dangerously thin, her rival is found dead at the bottom of Miller's Pond. The only clue the police have is the Red Velvet cupcake Bev ate right before she died--and the tranquilizers someone seems to have baked into it. To everyone's shock, Hannah is now the unlikely target of a murder investigation--and she's feeling the heat in a way she never has before.

1. Eye shadow palette. Urban Decay Beached palette. This is a limited edition palette, so I got it on Poshmark. I love the colors. Great for Summer.

 

 2. Bread sticks. I got these garlic bread sticks from Walmart & they are really good. I think maybe even better than Olive garden's. Not as salty.

 

 

3. T-shirts from Five Below. I got these 2 shirts a few weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to wear them yet because it has been too cold lately. The white 1 would have been great for Earth day yesterday, but it was like 45 out & winds of 30 or more.

Have a nice weekend. School vacation week is next week. I have 2 doctor's appointments & 1 to bring Tara too. Fun vacation things. lol.

This is a new polish that I got this week. It's a grayish, blueish, light perriwinkle. Sally Jansen miracle gel-O-zone you don't. I have quite a few of these miracle gels now. I really like them.

2. Sitting in our gazebo. I love our lights that we have in there.

3. Eat outside at a restaurant with a patio.

4. Start our garden. I love going to Home depot to find plants/flowers. It's 1 of my fave days of the Spring.

5. Cookouts.

6. Memorial day weekend.

7. Our 15th anniversary.

8. Riding bikes.

Nail Files. Week # 377

 This week I am wearing a few different nail colors. I saw a You tuber show some nail polishes that are available at Sephora. I already have similar colors, so I thought I would paint my nails with those polishes. The reddish is Orly Breathable-Beauty essential, light purple is Orly Breathable-Patience and Peace, seafoam green is Salon Perfect-Mer-made of Money & the periwinkle is China Glaze-Secret Per-wink-le. I think it's a cool color combo. I was going to use a different lavendar, but the polish seemed a bit thick, so I used this 1 instead.

My Mom's 2 year passing anniversary

My Mom passed away 2 years ago today. I still miss her & it's still hard. I kept busy today instead of sitting inside & being sad. I got out & went shopping & got a green tea latte. My Mom also loved shopping. So a good way to honor her. She mostly shopped on tv, QVC.

Nail Files. Week # 376

 This week I have on a new polish that I ordered online from Ulta. It's OPI infinite shine-Samurai Breaks a Nail. This gets the OPI gel topcoat. It's a pretty shimmery purple.

Friday Favorites. 4.2.21

 

 Happy Friday. This week was long. I think March was a long month. April is always hard now because my Mom passed away on April 9th. The 2 year anni of her passing is coming up in a week. But this is also coming up on my fave time of year. So I want to try to look at the positive.

1. Eye shadow palette. Blush crush by Colourpop. I saw Jessica Braun, beauty You tuber, mention this eye palette the other day. I ordered it & it came today. Not sure what I think of it yet. I love the color in the middle & I need more champagne colors. This is only my 2nd Colourpop palette & that 1 is hard to get a good color look. I have to use lighter colors from another palette with it.

2. Mug. Hello Gorgeous from Target. I got a mug back in December that I love from Target. It says Homebody. It's become my fave mug, so I knew I had to get this when I saw it on the Target app. I've had it saved in there for a while. I finally got it the other day.

Happy April. Monthly Goals.

 Here are some of my April Goals.

1. Do more yoga. The beginning of this month is stressful/sad. So I want to do something to relax myself.

2. Bring some stuff to Goodwill. I have a bunch of things down in my garage that needs to be donated.

3.Vacuum the stairs.

4. Go for a walk.

5. Do 4 scrapbook pages.
