15 year Wedding anniversary

 

It's so hard to believe that it's been 15 years today since we got married in Bermuda. Our cruise boat pulled into Bermuda that morning & I became a wife. So much has changed since then. We have an almost 14 year old daughter. My Mom is no longer here to share stories with or get advice from. I know so much more will change over the next few years. I wish I could go back to that day & when my daughter was little & my Mom was still here.

Friday Favorites. 5.28.21

 
 It's Friday finally. Another stressful week, but we have a long Holiday weekend. The weather will be in the 50's & 60's & rain, so we won't be doing much. Our anniversary is on 5/30. Linking up with Erika & Andrea.

1. Bath & Body works. I got a bunch of soaps last week. Boardwalk vanilla cone has been 1 of my favorites for a few years now. Right now we are using the Lakeside afternoon. I love it so much. It's a new favorite. It has lavender, dockside breeze & fresh rain scents. I'm not big on lavender, but this is really light.

 

2. Flowers from our front yard. Our lilacs are finally blooming. A few weeks late. I brought some in the house & they smell great.

 

 

3. Anniversary weekend. Sunday is our 15th anniversary. We will be going out to eat on Monday. It's going to rain for the next 4 days & be in the 40's & 50's Saturday & Sunday. So sad. We might go to a cookout tomorrow, but it will a cook-in probably. lol. It's suppose to be 48 tomorrow. I miss the 80's. I'm a Summer girl. We got married in 2006 in Bermuda.

Friday Favorites. 5.21.21

 

Happy Friday. I'm linking up with Andrea & Erika again this week. Another busy week. It was so nice out this week. It felt like Summer. It was in the 80's & I ate lunch outside each day.

1. Flower pot. I got this pretty flower pot at Walmart the other day. I think it's really nice. I don't have a plant to put in it yet, but I like to have extra pots in case I get a new plant & want to change it or if a plant needs to move to a bigger pot.

 2. Lip plumping gloss.  Hard candy Plumping serum. This is the color Colossal caramel. The color in person looks darker & is more of a sheer color. It also does have the tingle because it's a lip plumping gloss.

 

3. Color changing cups. I got these at Walmart. They're really cute, but they aren't insulated, so you have to put a lot of ice in them.

 

4. My cat Kizmet. She was very photogenic this week. She hates looking at the camera though.

Tasty Tuesday-Tik Tok baked feta pasta

Tik tok baked feta pasta

Prep time: 5 min

Cook time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

- 18 oz cherry or grape tomatoes
- 4 cloves garlic (or more if your heart desires)
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil (divided)
- 1 block (7 oz) Greek feta cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Kosher salt
- Fresh basil leaves

Step 1

 
- Preheat to 400 degrees.

 Step 2 

 
- In a 9-by-13-inch baking dish, mix your tomatoes, garlic and half (1/4 cup) the olive oil. Sprinkle with some salt and toss to coat.
- Place the feta cheese in the center of the baking dish and top with the remaining olive oil (1/4 cup). You can sprinkle the entire dish with red pepper flakes (I did not because I’m not a fan) and a little black pepper.
- Bake for about 40 minutes, until the tomatoes have burst their skins.

Step 3 

 - About 20 minutes into the baking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the pasta according to package directions, usually about 10-12 minutes.
-Save 1 cup of the pasta water and then drain the pasta.

Step 4

- Mash the feta and tomatoes with a fork and mix until evenly combined. Add your cooked pasta to the baking dish.

 Step 5 

-Stir the pasta into the cheese tomato mix. If your pasta looks a little dry add the saved pasta water.

-Taste & season with additional salt & pepper if desired.

-Top with plenty of chopped fresh basil & serve.

Happy Spring Days

 

I've been in such a good mood lately. The flowers are up & I heard peepers (frogs) today. I feel like I came alive with the flowers & leaves. The hummingbirds will be back soon. I put the hummingbird feeder out on Mother's day. I haven't seen any yet. I planted some seeds in a pot & they started coming up a week later. I planted some more today. I can't wait to go to the garden center & pick out flowers & herbs. That won't be until Memorial day weekend. I'm so ready. I'm impatient about Summer getting here. We'll be doing our gazebo & garden & opening our camper. It finally hit 70 degrees & we're supposed to be in the 70's for the next week & 1/2.

1.Body lotion. I rediscovered this lotion. I bought it a few years ago in Hampton beach. The scent reminds me of being at the beach. I also have the perfume. It smells so good & very beachy & Summery.

 

2. Body scrub. I heard that this Tropic glow is like Bum Bum cream, but cheaper. I want the lotion, but it's sold out at Ulta. I got this at the new Ulta in Salem, NH. It just opened last Friday. It's so new & clean.
