Retro rock shirts

These days they are selling retro rock shirts in the store. I found these 1s that I have from the 80's. They actually still fit & yes, I still have a few. The Def Leppard 1 was from my 1st concert in 1983. I was 12. The Motley Crue 1 is from 1985. The show was at Manning bowl in Lynn. It was at the end of my street. I will keep these 2 cause they mean something to me.

Did it again

I went to Target today to get a tote/purse. I ended up buying 2. I also planned on going to Walmart to exchange 2 shirts. They were too small. I got some that fit. I felt like I spent more $ than I had planned. Also my Avon came in. I had ordered a ring & the Avon lady said it was out of stock. So I wasn't expecting that. It's too small for the finger that I wanted to wear it on & too big for the 1 it fits on. It's top-heavy too, so it spins. I like it tho'. So now I need to not shop for a few weeks.

Yoga does a body good

I started doing my yoga tape a few days ago. I've done it twice so far. I'm going to try to do it a few times a week. I looked for a class & e mailed someone about it, but never heard back from her & I think it would be too expensive anyway & I wouldn't be motivated enough to go all the time. I was doing pilates, that I love, but I think it might be bothering my back/neck more. So I might cut down on the pilates & do the yoga more often. I'd love to walk more too if it evers stops raining.

My beta fish died today

I'm so sad that my fish Sapphire died today. My ex-friend gave him to me on 4/20/06. I know they only live to be 2 or 3. The bad thing is Anthony is out & won't be home till 5 or after. So I'm trying to decide if I'm gonna let him take care of him or if I'm gonna dump the water out & put him in a box. I'm going to bury him in the yard. Probably tomorrow. I can't bare to look at him.

Liking where I live

A few days ago, I realized that I really like my new town/area. It's not that new anymore. We've been here just over 8 months. We're in a really good location. Lots to do around here. It's pretty quiet & safe. I just wish we could walk to things. A few weeks ago we actually drove to an area where we looked at houses. We drove by 3 of them. They all look different since last July-Oct. But I really like our neighborhood, yard & house much better than any of those. Our house was the last 1 that we looked at Out of like 50 houses. It was Oct 21st that we 1st saw our house.

Latest obsessions

Tori Spelling~Okay, I was never a fan of hers when she was on 90210, but I've been watching the Tori & Dean show & she's so cute. She's my idol now.

Pink & green~I've never been a fan of green, but have been the past few months.

Hair products with no Sulfates~I found 1 that I like at Walgreens called Naked Naturals.

Cheerios~I mostly started eating them cause I have high cholesterol, but really like them & buy the plain 1s & add walnuts & I'm really addicted.

Wearing my old jewelry~I went thru' some of my old jewelry boxes & I have lots of cool jewelry that I haven't worn in a long time.

Finding a cute pink tote~Big enough for everyday with a zipper & pockets. All the totes/purses these days only have 1 snap in the middle & everything falls out.

Nail hardener~I'm trying to find 1 to fix my nails. They were really strong & hard since I was 13, but since I had Tara they're paper thin, peel & bend back.

Reading other peoples blogs~I haven't been able to read them this week

Getting organized~Mostly my office

Going thru' photos~Old 1s & putting them in photo albums & putting Tara's pics in scrapbooks (no time yet for scrapbooking).

Reading glasses

I think I might need to get reading glasses. I can't read small print anymore. I wear contacts. I'm feeling really old. This year is my 20th high school reunion & I'm also gonna be a Great Aunt. I'm only 38, but feel 50 lately with all this old lady stuff that's going on.

Tara fell down the stairs yesterday

We went out Saturday night, so my parents stayed over. Sun morning I was awake, but laying in bed & heard my Mom saying Oh God, heard thumping & a lot of commotion. I knew right away what was going on, so I hopped out of bed. Anthony slept thru' it of course. They had already gotten her from the bottom of the stairs. There's 17 of them. They forgot to put the gate across. She seems fine. We checked her all over. It was really scary. From now on we're gonna keep the gate across all the time.

I always end up buying things that aren't on my list

I went to Christmas tree shops the other day. Love that store. I saw 2 things I wanted to get in the store flyer. I ended up getting only 1 of the things on my list & 3 other things that weren't on the list. I did get a really cute lunch tote. Not that I'll ever use it, but it was so cute & cheap I had to get it just in case I needed 1. I also bought a cool book called "The Dish, On eating healthy & being fabulous". Something I'll prob never get around to reading, but it seems like something I'll like. I'm hoping to read more & watch more movies in the Fall/Winter when the weather is crappy.
