Bff's~What I'm reading now

I've been hearing a lot about this book lately on different blogs. It's about a girl who moves to a new town to be with her boyfriend & she realizes she doesn't have any close friends in the area. So she goes on 52 Girl dates to find a bff. I'm only on page 18, so I can't say much what I think about the book yet. It got me thinking about meeting friends. I moved to a new town in 2007 with a 4 month old child. I guess I was lucky that I had a child, because I joined a Mom group. I met lots of really nice women & some of my best friends. I was thinking if I didn't have a child, I probably wouldn't know anyone in my town. Maybe a few of the neighbors, but they have kids, so not sure if we would be friends, if I didn't have kids. I've been thinking lately that I would like to have more friends without kids. To do lunch with or go shopping with. I'm not ready to go on 52 Girl dates or anything. I have Mom friends & married friends without kids. Long-time, Long distance friends (3 that I will be seeing this year), a few friends from old jobs (only 1 that I really talk to still, & see other than on FB), high school friends that I only talk to on FB. Also have scrapbooking friends & rock n' roll friends. I love having different types of friends, I think it makes things more interesting.
