I'm not big on Autumn because that means that Winter is coming. I live in New England & HATE Winter. This is what it looks like outside today.

Pretty as a Peacock

I got this pretty Peacock ring today at Kohls. I think it's the biggest ring that I've ever had. It won't be an everyday ring, just special occasions.

Snow on October 27th?

We are getting snow. I didn't take any pics because I don't like being out in the cold. Maybe tomorrow if it doesn't melt I will take some pics from inside the front door.

Wordish Wednesday~Drive by shooting

Photo shooting that is. Today we went to our friend's house & on the way there I noticed a house, with a wall of pumpkins. I thought it was so cute & mentioned it to my friend. She said at night they light them all up. She also told me that 1 of the houses did a pumpkin wall & the neighbor across the street decided to do a wall too. So on the way home I looked at the house across the street.

This is the other house.

So much fun. I love living in New Hampshire.

New England minute~Our Fall driveway

Craft fair finds

Our high school had a really awesome craft fair yesterday. It was a lot bigger than last year. I got this pretty black & white glass choker. The only thing is it losens up & falls off. You have to keep tightening it. I really don't want to lose it. I might have my hubby put a clasp on it somehow.

I also got this blue scarf necklace. I had never seen 1 before & I love the colors in it.

Red ghost

Since some of our Halloween stuff is missing. I think it might be in the attic. Tara has been making some cute & fun things in school. So we are decorating the house with new things. I thought this red ghost with pink eyes came out really cute.

Yum of the day (That time of year again)

I've already been buying egg nog for the past few weeks. We buy the Light egg nog in the green carton, not pictured here.

Word(ish) Wednesday

Lately I've been thinking how we're not the most perfect parents ever. Yesterday kind of proved my point. T went to the denist & she has 2 cavities @ 4 years old, does that happen? I don't think kids usually get cavities that young. I don't remember how old I was when I had my 1st one. Since day 1 brushing her teeth has been a fight. Most nights she gets punished for not brushing good. We even got her a cute spin brush that she got to decorate with stickers. That helped for about a week. She has to go back to the dentist in December to have the cavities filled. 2 different days. They will give her laughing gas & want to try to keep it positive. I'm hoping that once she goes to have them filled it will make her want to brush & floss, so this won't happen again.

Other things we're not so great about,
1. Veggies-She pretty much eats no veggies now. we do try to get her to eat them & she does take a mulivitamin.

2. Baths-She usually has 3 a week, the nights before school.

3. Sleep-She goes to bed late. We've been doing a bit better with this. Her bed-time is 9pm. Somtimes it's 9;30-9:45.

4. Cleaning up after herself. We really need to work on this. I think she will someday be on the show Hoarders since she keeps every straw, smartie wrapper, collects rocks, leaves, sticks, etc...

Fall photo shoot

I've been wanting to do a Fall photo shoot for a while now & practice with my camera (still haven't sat down to read the manual). But we've been busy & hubs was home, we've been sick & it rained the past few days (the leaves are still wet). So I finally got around to it today. I got some really good shots.

I hope Walgreens has a free photo collage soon. I would love to make 1 with these photos.

Happy Birthday Hubs

Today is my husband's birthday. He had to work (he was off Mon-Wed) & he's now sick with my cold. T still has an ear infection. I brought her back to the doc yesterday & they switched her antibiotics. So she was home from school today & we made this snazzy cake. It has peanut butter cups around the side. I made a cake similiar to this a few years ago.

I finally used my Giant cupcake pan. I've had it for like a year & 1/2.

It was so yummy, if I do say so myself. I used Dunkin hines German choc cake mix & a dark chocolate frosting (I think that was Dunkin Hines too).

Craft fair season

Well it's officially craft fair season. We've been to 2 so far. Todays fair was 1 of the biggest in the area & we got there late & got to spend about 10 minutes there. So bummed out. But I did get Tara a cute cow fairy. There is another 1 next weekend & the weekend after. I will get to those 1s on time.

Need to scrapbook soon

Lately I've been wanting to scrapbook so bad. I have so many photos & things put aside to scrapbook, but haven't had the time. I just recently found out about a thing called Smashbook. People keep saying that they were around in high school, maybe it was after my time. I remember slam books (not sure if that is the same thing). When I got older I exchanged those with pen pals. I'm not sure if I could do a smash book because I like everything to be in order of when it happened. I need to watch some tutorials on smashbooks. I might try making my own. Does anyone know if AC Moore or any of those stores have them? I know some places are selling out of them. Tara was saying how 1 of her friends brought in her scrapbook today for show & tell. So I'm hoping I can get her back into scrapbooking & then I can do it while she is doing hers. I was looking at an Avon book tonight & she saw a ton of pjs, bracelets, clothes & even a sleeping bag that she wanted. So I ripped them out & told her that she can scrapbook them. Also her teacher said that all the kids need to practice with scissors (kids 1s of course), so that will help with that. I hate when I have so many ideas & hobbies that I want to do & they never get done. I can't seem to finish anything. 1st I need to print more photos & get ink for my printer. Hubs is off till Wednesday, so I'm hoping 1 day I can scrapbook. We also might have our scrapbooking club next week. I would also love to do some mini books. Those would be so much faster to finish. I wish I had started all of this a long time ago.

Today we went on a hayride & pumpkin picking. It was so cold & windy. I'm still chilled. It was fun though.
