Ugg lovers (helpful info)

Tonight we went to the mall & went in Stride rite to get my daughter some new boots & sneakers. I noticed that they had Uggs there & I commented how I really want to get a pair. The sales lady said she got a pair for herself & they are $40 cheaper there ($140). I tried on a pair & they were really comfy, but they didn't have the tall boots in my size. I wear size 8 & the tall boots only go up to 5. The short boots go up to size 6 there. I did check another store & they were $180. Not sure if you can find them online cheaper.

Lots to catch up on

I'm signed up for tons of blog updates, coupons, deals etc.. I saw this the other day for a free collage print from Walgreens. So I did it quick before it ended (I saw it the same day it ended). I think it came out cute. I have it up on the fridge.

I had my eyebrows shaped for the 1st time on Sunday. This 1st pic is a before pic.

Eek. This is after. Not sure if you can tell how thin they are now from the pic. Anyone know how long it takes eyebrows to grow back in? haha.

I got this cool Planning book today @ my Hubby's work. They had a book fair. I took Tara in for lunch today. I'll add a few pics for Wordless Wednesday tomorrow. I never knew that Anthony had so many pics of T around his cubicle. He has about 25 pics of her all over. He was so happy to have her in work today & so proud to show her off.

I'm behind in everything. I will be leaving comments to everyone that left some within the next few days. We're all fighting colds here.

This is our kitchen before my hubby cut windows (a pass through). He is hoping to stain the shelves & maybe put them above the cut out windows. Not sure if we will like them. We have no where to put those cafe pics if anyone local wants them, we will probably be giving them away real soon.

This is the 2nd time that T has been in the paper. This was from the day we went to the alpaca farm. With her cutie pie friend Laurel.

Recipe of the week

I made this today for T. She really didn't want it & cried & was upset that I was putting apples on her bread. She ended up not eating it, so I did. It's really good. I found this recipe on a kids website online.

Apple crunch toast

•Butter
•apples
•wheat bread
•cinnamon sugar mixture (equal parts)


Slice and peel the apples. Have the child spread the butter on the bread. Have them place the apple slices on the bread. Then have them sprinkle the sugar mixture on the apples. Place in the toaster oven, and toast till slightly brown. Enjoy!

Robert Frost historic site

I drive by this farm once a week & I finally stopped & got some photos. I kept seeing the sign & knew that I heard his name before. I was thinking that he was either a poet or author. This plaque below tells a little about him.

I googled him last week & now I really want to read some of his poems.

Witchy Women's Night (Manchester, NH)

Today we went to a farm to pick out our pumpkin. We went with our Mom group. 1st was a hayride to the pumpkin patch.

I found a blog that has a list of different memes for your blog called the daily meme. There's a bunch of different memes that I had never seen before & there's also some that I know of that aren't on here. It's fun to check out. I really don't do memes too often.

Glow-in-the-dark nailpolish

I was in Rite aid last week & I saw this make-up called Jessie's girl. I don't think the other local R. aid has it.

They have an awesome greenish-blue eye shadow, but it's a cream & I'm allergic to cream eye shadows.

Below on the left, is some cute pumpkin shaped glow-in-the-dark nailpolish (& other make-up). I got a clear 1 with silverish glitter. I wasn't sure if it would really glow, but it does. It's very cool. The bottle was glowing in the bathroom when I shut of the lights.

My Happy List (short this week)

Today is a wonderful & sunny Sunday. We had a great weekend.

I'm happy that my daughter is feeling better. She had the croup & was really sick for a few days. While we were home sick she finger painted for the 1st time. She did about 6 pictures.

Yesterday we got together with some good friends, that we don't see nearly enough.

I won this cute tutu set last night. T can wear it to gym class.

Giant pumpkin

After the fair we went to Santarpios, that recently opened in Peabody, MA (I lived in Peabody for 3 & 1/2 years & worked there for 15 years). The original one is in East Boston. We've been to that one 3 or 4x. It's harder to get there, now that we live in NH. Even though my parents don't live too far from there. So today we tried the Peabody restaurant. The pizza is so good there. Check it out if you're ever in the area.
