This old House

This is my childhood house. My parents still live there. They've lived there since I was 6 (1976). It has so many memories & the town has changed so much since I was a kid. It's nice to be able to go home.

I don't know why but I always figured you grew up in a big house. It looks small in comparison to the house next door. Pictures can be deceiving though, as can the outside of a house. Sometimes once you're inside a home, there seems to be much more room than you would have guessed from looking at the exterior.

Hope you had a nice visit home.

My mom still lives in my childhood home too. We moved in 1978 when I was three. Now that my dad has passed my mom wants to sell the house and move out here. It will feel so wierd when she does.

Growing up on my side of Lynn, living in a terrace with 12 families, you tend to lose some privacy. Looking at your house looks like a cute little nook (with a second floor, right? -always wanted to live in a house with stairs going to my bedroom, of course now I do...besides the point). It looks nice, with a back yard, right? ...And grass? Wicked nice.

Ahh, that's wonderful! My mom still lives in the same house I grew up in. I hope I can give that same feeling of warmth to my boys in the years to come. (thanks for stopping by my blog, by the way!)
