Nail Files. Week #48

I'm wearing Nicole by OPI in Khloe had a little Lam-lam. I really like the color, but it chips really bad. Big chunks. Not sure if I'd buy 1 of the Kardashian nailpolishes again. I have a glitter 1 that didn't seem to chip as much.

Mascara, my new love

 

I've never really been a mascara person. I would wear it for special occasions & then the past few years just on the weekend. The past 6 months I've been wearing it everyday & I love it. I have like 5 different brands & just bought a new Almay mascara today. I'm in search of a favorite. So far I don't love any of them, but I'm having fun trying them out. I feel like I could just wear mascara & lipstick/lipgloss, if I really had to.

We've lived in our house for almost 5 years (on Dec 8th). We have a fireplace (my 1st fireplace ever) & have never used it. The realtor lady said that it had never been used & the house was built in 1982. Each year I say that we use it at least once this year. Maybe on Christmas day or New year's eve. It never happens. So I am setting a goal, right here on my blog, we will use our fireplace before the end of 2013.

The Nutcracker

We went to the Nutcracker today that was at our high school. We went last year too & now it's a tradition. We went with some of our Mom & daughter friends. They got to meet 2 of the performers.

Wordless Wednesday~Red velvet donut

Lately I've been feeling blue. Just lots going on. Dealing with a 5 year old that tells me that she hates me everyday, she kicks me, hits me etc... She is seeing a therapist &  just started seeing a school guidance councilor. Each person gives me hope that they can help with things & things never change. She's been seeing her therapist for a year now. Winter is coming & I have S.A.D (seasonal affective disorder), I never have any energy, the holidays are coming (more stress). I've put on weight & a bunch more things. I try to do a few things that I enjoy each day (even just reading a few pages of a magazine or checking out a Smashaholics group on FB), to help my stress, blues & anxiety, but I have been so busy with everything & everyone else that I don't even have time to do the things that I enjoy & bring a smile to my face. I haven't had much time to keep up with the blogs that I love or enter giveaways. I try to keep the blog positive, but just felt like venting tonight. I'm hoping that after the holidays to start eating better & start walking (on nice days). We might join a gym if we can find 1 that we can afford. Trying to keep positive about the new year & hoping things will just change after the Holidays. I know I am the main 1 who has to change things, so I am going to try to do that.

New England Minute~Vermont

This is my friends cute house in VT where we stayed.

We went to a cute little town called Woodstock. I loved the shops & we ate at an awesome restaurant called Bentley's.

 

 This store below was really cute. It had tons of things in it in every nook. They even had a cute deck with tons of things on it & white lights with a great view of a river or brook.

This is me with my friends out to eat.

 

It was very sad to see all the damage from Hurricane Irene. We saw houses that had fallen over & an Inn with a hole through the middle from the river busting threw it. I didn't get any photos of that. It's different when you see it in person. Lots of people lost their houses & a few people lost their lives. My friend was up there at the time when it was going on. You could see how high the water had risen, on the sides of the river & all the trees that had fallen down & rock slides too still there. I remember seeing part of the highway on the news that the ground had fallen in. We drove over a bridge & I think that was the spot. It still says to drive slow over it. Along the way you would see old light gray pavement & then see darker new pavement where the ground had fallen in. So sad.

Vermont bound

So we are in Vermont for a Girl's scrapbooking weekend this weekend. We are staying at my friend's resort house. There are 4 of us. I'll post photos & all about it when we get back.

I'm really into skulls lately. These shirts are from Forever 21. I ran in there today, but we were in a hurry to get T to school, so I didn't get to look around. We're going back to the mall on Wednesday (no school).

Not Ready for the holidays.

 

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is next week. Where did time go? This year flew by. I'm so not ready for X-mas. We were in Walmart today & all they were playing was Christmas music. We've only bought a few presents so far for Tara. I know before we know it will be a week before X-mas. We are going to the Nutcracker on Nov. 25th, so that will be fun. I wish we could see Transiberian orchestra. It's been a few years since we saw them. We really want to bring Tara to see them. She loves their cd & was humming the nutcracker song today. We both busy working on our Christmas lists.

Today I woke up with a headache & took a 3 hr nap. Hubs caught T's cold, so he snored so loud all night. So I didn't sleep good either. I think I'm getting her cold now. I just got over my last cold about 5 days ago (after 5 weeks). Anyway, I got to work on a few smashbook pages tonight. These pages below are from Saturday when we went to a craft fair, Salem, Sylvan street grille & my parent's house. Got 2 nice bracelets at the craft fair, some earrings & some post cards & an ear headband cover. I got my mojo back for a night. I told my hubby that I was having so much fun that I didn't want it to end. haha.

Free wi-fi/hotspot finder

 

Does anyone know of a good wi-fi finder? I only have an Ipod touch, so most of the time when I am out I can't connect to wi-fi & it's very frustrating. I've uploaded a few free apps, but they don't work too good. Also does anyone know of any free cool photo apps or kids educational apps? Thanks so much.

31 party

Last night I had a 31 party. Most of the people couldn't make it, but it was still fun. They have fun/cute bags. I ordered a new wallet, a matching key fob that you can wear on your wrist (since I always lose my keys), a cooler & a mini utility tote for Tara's hair accessories.
