Nail Files. week # 34

I found a cool store in VA beach called DelSol, that has color chaning nailpolish & clothing. I got Calypso. It is pink inside & purple out in the sun.

We're home from Virginia

I had an awesome vacation. We attended my friend's wedding & were in it, got to see 2 of my oldest friends, brought Tara to VA beach & Busch gardens for the 1st time. This is the longest blog break I've ever taken. I so wanted to post a blog, but wasn't able to. So I will be doing a lot of posts this week.

Wedding bells are ringing

My friend Peg is getting married today. Woohoo. Her hubby to be is Gerald. I'm so excited for them. Tara & I are in the wedding. Photos to come when we get back.

I got this China Glaze~Rose Among Thorns yesterday. I only did 1 coat. I think it needs another coat, but I didn't have time.

Pepper chicken salad

Last week when we did Kids in the kitchen, Jennifer, the Pampered chef lady made chicken salad & served it in green bell peppers. It tasted so good together. We had them tonight for dinner. I guess you could cut the peppers up & mix it up in the chicken salad too. I also added Tastefully simple's season salt. Yummo.

Counting down to Kindergarten

15 days till Kindergarten starts. So early. We always went back after Labor day. There is am Kindergarten & pm. Tara is doing pm because most of her friends are. We switched her, so she'd have a better chance of being in a friend's class, but none of her close friends are in her class. We did find out that 1 of the girls she knows from pre-school is in her class, so that's good. The day before school starts we get to meet her teacher & we will be taking a bus ride, so she can see what it is like.

Ipod touch

I got an ipod touch a few weeks ago. Anthony finally got a chance to set it up. So I'm trying to figure it out & add some things to it. I love it so far. I want to add some music to it, so I can start walking & listen to music. If anyone knows of some good apps let me know. Also how do you sign up for Instagram?

Smashbook giveaway win

I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to enter as many giveaways. I did win this smashbook from a Smashaholics group that I'm in on FB. I got a few other bonus goodies in the package. Some purple polka dot tape & some paper & stickers. I'm so excited to play with all of this, but I don't think I'm going to have time till we come back from vacation. I haven't used a "real" smashbook yet. I have a few, but I usually buy a 99 cent notebook & just add scrapbook paper to cover the pages & then add embellies. It will save me a lot of time to use a real smashbook.

I just bought the new Sally Hansen magnetic nailpolish in Ionic indigo. I love the magnetic look. My friend had it on last week & I love the blue. I'm thinking of getting a few more colors.

Beach days

This week we were at the beach 3x again for more swim lessons. Yesterday we were there from 9am-1:15. Such a long day. I'm not a beach person, so I have to say I was glad that today was the last swim lesson. She enjoyed it, so that's all that matters.

It's that time of year again & I already have the End of Summer blues. I know it's kind of early to have the blues, but I have them. August always flies by & this year is flying by. I've been working on a Summer daily smashbook. So I can look back on all the fun times that we've had.

Girl's day/night

My hubby went away for a guys weekend with his friends. So my friends came over yesterday & slept over, since all of our hubbies were away. We went to our town beach for a little while & then it started thundering & raining after we got home. We went to Joe's Crab Shak for the 1st time. I got sangria & got to keep the cute glass. We had a fun time.

I had a different color on my nails earlier this week & took a photo, but I think I somehow deleted it. Now I have on Pure ice in Platinum & Black by Love my nails in Black rage.

Lately...

I've been feeling a l little overwelmed. Just so much to do & hubs has been busy at night (working late, working out, buying a new truck & going to look at it 1 night & picking it up last night). T did a Ready set go kindergarten camp this week, but it was only 2 & 1/2 hrs. I tried to get stuff done, but it went so fast. I did do my pilates tape 3x so far this week when she was at camp. I just feel like I am lacking some quiet alone/time. That's something that I really need. I think Mommy really does need a time out.
