Tara's ear surgery is tomorrow

Tomorrow at 8:45am Tara is having ear tubes put in her ears & maybe having her adnoid out. She had an ear infection in October & has had fluid in her ears ever since & keeps saying that her ears are foggy. She had her ears tested recently & they said she isn't hearing as good as she should. I'm hoping that the surgery tomorrow will help her anger & mood too. She's been out of control for a long time & I'm hoping this will help.

Update: They ended up taking out her adnoid & tonsills too. So she's feeling pretty yucky. It's so hard as a parent to make a decision that you know is going to temporarilly make your child be in pain, but in the long run we know that she will feel better. She is so stubborn, she wouldn't drink or eat jello or popcicles. It's hard to give her medicine too. She is already hearing better & said the phone was really loud. She had her 1st ride in a wheelchair today. I asked if I could take a pic of her in the wheelchair (this was on the way out to the car), but she didn't want me to. The doctor also took a pic of her tonsills after he took them out & I gave him my e mail address to send it to, but I didn't get it. When he called tonight I forgot to mention it. He did say not to post it on Facebook. haha. I need to call & make an appointment for a follow up for her, so I might mention the photo when I call.

Which photo site?

I'm trying to decide which is the best or most used photo website. Mostly to share as albums online with people. I don't have an iphone, so I can't do instagram. I have a Flickr, Photobucket, Tumblr, Snapfish accounts & a few others too.

Current fave tv shows

No surprise that GH is my fave. I've been watching it since I was 6 years old (off & on. My Mom use to watch it). There's some new characters that I don't like much & now some of the OLTL peeps are on the show. I don't really like the idea of that too much.

We were like 3-4 weeks behind, but we're finally caught up.

Glad that Bethenny is back on tv, now that Tori & Dean is off for now.

Thirty-one party

My friend had a Thirty-one party last night. It was a lot of fun & they have so many cute things that I want.

I ended up getting this jewelry roll. For when we travel. My jewelry always ends up tangled or lost.


I really wanted this wall organizer. I think I might get it next. A few of the girls that were there last night said they'd like to have a party. 1 of my friends might in May.

Pen pals

I've been writing to snail mail pals since 1985 (when I was 15). I'm always looking for more pals. I originally wanted to get a pen pal from every state. That never happened. Spring Fever

I know that we've had a milder than normal Winter & hardly no snow, but I'm so ready for Spring. I want to get out & walk. I'm planning on doing a "Real" garden this year. I usually just plant some tomatoes, peppers & herbs in pots on our deck. This year I'm going to have Hubs build wood boxes in our yard, with the help from 1 of my friends. She has a beautiful huge garden. I can't wait to cook on the grill too (no, I don't cook on the grill. I'm afraid that I'll burn my hair off cause I'm so clumsy. I do flip things on the grill). I'm sick of wearing layers of clothes & 2 pairs of socks around the house. I miss my pretty painted toes (I keep them painted year-round even though I do wear 2 pairs of socks) & miss wearing my cute sandals. I'm even thinking of getting a few longish skirts to wear when the weather gets warmer. I usually wear shorter skirts, but now that I'm older & not as fit as I use to be, I'm thinking it's time for longer skirts. I'm excited to get out & get a new Spring wardrobe.

Mommy & Me Monday

These are some self portraits that we took on Valentine's day. We went to a potluck with the Mom group that day, but it was only us & the girl who hosted it & her 2 sons. We still had fun & brought some pink mini cupcakes & she made some yummy banana bread. Tara colored with her sons & then went in a cool bouncy house that they had in their sunroom.

My Dear Lizzy date stamp. I ordered a bunch of scrappy things from Lizzy's new line for Valentine's day. The date stamp came today from a different company. I had to order from 2 diff companies to get most of the stuff that I wanted. There is a camera stamp that was sold out & is back in. So I need to order that soon.

I won this altered notebook from Jacque4u2c. I'm using it as 1 of my 2012 goal planners. I'm going to start doing more posts of my scrapbooking things, smashbooks & journals.

Lost all of my photos

My computer was acting really weird yesterday & it seems like everything that I had saved on my computer is gone. My background, photos, blog photos, all my pinterest pics (that I hadn't pinned). I have been wanting to back up all the pics on the hard drive, but didn't have the time. I'm so bummed out, but luckily I have a lot of stuff on different websites. So back up all your stuff right now, so you're not in the same boat as me.

Some cute Valentine things

I got this cute pillow a few years ago at Christmas tree shop.

This is inside our front door.

T made this frame in school for us for Valentine's day. It's on our fridge.

She also made this bookmark. I think I finally have a bookmark that she won't take it from me, since she made it.

So the Valentine stuff is coming down tomorrow, except the frame on the fridge.

Ready for Heart day

We really have nothing planned. We went to Red Robin yesterday for dinner with the kid (not too romantic, but that's fine). I might make a Valentine card for Hubs. Don't think I'm doing anything special for dinner. I ordered $32 of Dear Lizzy's new Scrapbook line. So that is my pressie. It won't be here for a while. Hubs picked out a Harley Davidson shirt from online. We're so romantic aren't we. What are your Valentine plans?

*I like my hair straight, but I don't straighten it everyday because I have carpal tunnel. I try to blow dry it straight, but it just comes out wavy. In the Summer I let it air dry because it's easier & then it's super curly & hubs is happy.

*I like lots of make-up
*I want more piercings in my ears & want to re-pierce my belly button, but I don't think that will happen for a while with a 4 & 1/2 year old.

*No facial hair

*Boys with more tattoos (luckily hubs does want at least 1 more tat, he only has 1 so far)

*Other things I like, that hubs will never do; black eyeliner (not even for a concert), big chunky silver rings (I'm lucky he at least wears his wedding ring. That's it. He wasn't happy about it at 1st & played with it forever till he got use to it). 1 pierced ear, at least. Maybe a cool necklace once in a while. If you can't tell I like Rocker boys.

Store love

Loving Christmas tree shops new look. Look at all these travel size/minis. There's 3 walls of them.

Today I am wearing Zoya's, Zara. I had been wanting it & they had a special online. So I ordered this and Jem. Both were already like another color that I already had. Zara has more goldish in it than the other 1, Adina.

7. Liking coffee (I know, most people do like coffee & my hubs & I are outnumbered, but it honestly tastes like ashes to me)

They're totally different right?

I got this coat in December at Forever 21. I think it's really cute & I love that it's long & has pockets.

I went & got this coat below, in January. Hubs was with me when I bought it & saw it in the bag & said it was exactly the same as the other 1. Men. It's totally different right? The top 1 is suppose to be suade & the bottom 1 is suppose to be leather. The top 1 is lighter & has buttons & the bottom 1 has a hood & a zipper.
