Kids in the Kitchen. Day 2

For some reason the photos that I took yesterday didn't come out. My camera was acting weird. Tara made a yummy salsa recipe. Of course she wouldn't eat it. She doesn't like tomatoes or onions, but does like cilantro. I want to make this soon.

Fresh Tomato Salsa

1 small onion
1 jalapeno pepper, stemmed
1/2 cup loosly packed fresh cilantro
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, peeled
1/2 salt
2 cups grape tomatoes, divided
Tortilla chips (optional)

1. Cut onion into quarters. Cut Jalapeno crosswise into thirds. Combine onion jalapeno, cilantro, lemon juice, garlic & salt in a Manual food processor (or blender) pump handle to chop to desired consistency. Serve with tortilla chips, if desired.

Yield: about 2 & 1/2 cups salsa
