New glasses

So I finally got my new glasses. They are no line bi-focals. I HATE wearing glasses & I had eye surgery last year, but my eyes were so bad. Now they have gotten worse again. The doc said it's slightly worse, but it's enough for me to not be able to read street signs. I also can't read up close. So I got new glasses & will mostly wear them for reading & driving. When I'm at home I might wear them all the time. Just so annoying. They did tell me that I might have to wear reading glasses.

Time for Vermont again

Woodstock, Vermont. Photo via Pinterest.

So we are getting ready to go away to Vermont again this weekend for a Girl's scrapbooking weekend. I haven't had time to scrapbook/smashbook in a while. I'm so far behind. I really miss it because it relaxes me & helps rid stress. I have dance recital stuff from June, 4th of July & lots of other old stuff to be scrapbooked. I'm going to aim for 15 pages. I think my record is 27 pages in a weekend. So we'll see how much I can get done.

Mommy & Me Monday

Tara had off from school today. There is a Teacher's workshop. She has tomorrow off too for Veteran's Day. So we did some errands & then we stopped at a donut shop called Heavn'ly donuts & I got her a donut & we split a Vanilla freeze. Trying to keep her busy, so she doesn't get bored.

November goals

I know I"m kind of late, but I'm doing my November goals finally.

1. Complete all of my reviews.
2. Try to spend less $.
3. To not buy any nailpolish.
4. Drink more water.
5. Get back into doing pilates.
6. Sell some stuff on Craigslist or the local yard sale page on FB.
7. Get my Christmas packages out earliesh.
8. Find a good deal on Christmas photo cards.
9. Keep up with things better. Junk piles, pen pal letters, swaps whatever.
10. Hopefully have a drama free Thanksgiving.
11. Switch to another animal shelter to volunteer at.
12. Go visit my parents more & maybe clean their house.

Christmas wishlist

So we are cutting down a bit on buying presents this year. Anthony & I both need dental work & we are going to run out of insurance & have to use our own $. I'm thinking of baking & making some gifts. I came up with a wishlist for myself, but it seems like it might only be a fantasy wish list, but that's okay. It's fun making a list anyway.

This is a boho bracelet that I saw on Etsy.

I actually just ordered this vest from Aerospatale. They didn't have large in the store, so I ordered it.

This palette is from Clinique. I love browns, coppers, golds & purples. I have a thing for eye shadow (nail polish & lipstick too).

I love this Lorac Mega pro palette, but it keeps selling out on Amazon.

I just saw this cute sweater today from American Eagle.

Nail files. Week # 178

I finally found Sinful colors~Prosecco. On 1 of the nail polish groups on Fb, people are going crazy trying to find it. Not really sure why, but it became my mission to see if I could find it. I looked in about 10 stores. I found it at my old Rite Aid near where I grew up in MA. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. But it gets a bit dull after a few days. The purple is Sephora by OPI~What Film Noir You in?

This & That

I can't believe that it is November. I started making out my list of who I am sending X-mas cards to yesterday. I'm also wanting to start working on an X-mas list for Tara. I know time goes so fast, so before we know it the Holidays will be here. Things have been a little crazy here. Tara stayed at my parent's house on Saturday night & we cleaned & organized her room. Lots of work. She collects things, paper, rocks seashells etc..She has a bit of a cold & lost a tooth yesterday morning. It's been a year since she lost a tooth. This makes # 7. I've been a little down the past few days. Just a bit overwelmed with things. I will be going away to Vermont again in a few weeks & need to start organizing for that. It's always nice to get away. I'm a sahm & feel like I am always working. I can't stop cleaning or picking things up or making lists & organizing. So it's nice to get away & not have to worry about all of that. I can just concentrate on scrapbooking & being with my friends.

Anheuser-Busch Brewery tour

A few months ago I got an e mail from Andie from Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis. She wanted to know if we wanted to do a tour of the Merrimack, NH factory. She sent us a pretty glass with an Eagle on it & a leather journal to get excited for our tour. She also sent us a $250 Visa gift card. That was so nice of her. I'm a sahm (stay at home Mom), so we are on 1 income. I used it for food shopping a few weeks in a row.

So we did our tour on October 5th. We arrived at the factory & met up with a lady named Carla. She escourted us to the Clydesdale Hamlet. She introduced us to a few people that worked there & a photographer. Then led us to the Cydesdales & a horse named Victor. He had on red & white ribbons & bows, all dressed up for us to have our photo with him. I've never had such VIP treatment before.

This is our photo that we got with him. This will be on our Christmas card this year. He was very sweet & so soft. You can see how big he is compared to us. We got some photos & magnets.

These are some handmade leather harnesses.

We saw a Clydesdale named Charlie.

We also met the dalmation mascot named Bud.We had a hard time getting a photo of him because he was really peppy.

They have a wagon room. These are some of the orginal wagons that delivered the first case of non-prohibition beer to President Roosevelt. They were built around 1900.

They have a hops garden to show what they look like. It doesn't grow very big around here though.

We took a tour of the inside of the factory.

It was fun seeing all the bottles go by. It reminded me of "Laverne & Shirley". Tara had no idea, who I was talking about.

They have a pub area called the Hospitality room. So we each got to try 2 samples. I tried Johnny Appleseed, like a hard cider & Stella Artois. I really liked the Johnny Appleseed. Anthony tried the Johnny Appleseed & a Pumpkin Ale. He liked both of them. Great, for this time of year.

Tara loved her pretzels & fruit punch.

It was a cloudy/misty day. They also had a dog adoption day going on & some fun events.

This is Big Scott, a statue outside.

We got a Clydesdale for Tara & when we were leaving, Carla handed her a gift bag. It had a Clydesdale & a dalmation dog in it. It was so nice & she was so happy. She named 1 Clydesdale Victor & the other Charlie & of course the dalmation is named Bud. They sleep in bed with her every night.

You can have a fun family day visiting the Clydesdales, taking a tour of the factory & checking out the gift shop. There are brewery tours in St. Louis, MO, Fairfield, CA, Jacsonville, FL, Fort Collins, CO & Merrimack, NH. We live about 20-25 minutes from the Merrimack Brewery. We had been there a few years ago in the Springtime for a Rocking Ribfest. They have different events throughout the year. You can check out the tours at Budweiser tours. Thanks to Andie & Carla for a fun time.

Halloween 2014

I hope everyone had a great Halloween. I really didn't get many photos. When Tara got home from school it seemed like we were really rushed. So I only got a few pics of her as we were going out Trick or Treating. The 1st few came out blurry. It was dark out even before we left to go out. She got tons of candy & I already had a mini Hersey bar last night & tonight a Reese's peanut butter cup. She had tons yesterday & last night.
