Christmas pageant

Today was Tara's school Christmas pageant. The kids all looked so cute dressed up. I couldn't stop smiling. My Dad & Anthony came with me. Here is T with some of her friends.

I put some glitter in her hair & she loved it.

Cookie swap

I did my 2nd cookie swap yesterday. We made 2 plates of these sugar cookies & some whoopie pies to bring with us.

1 of the girls made these pretty cookies.

She also made these. I haven't tried the marshmallow 1s yet. The choc with the sprinkles are really good, but there are cherries inside (I don't like cherries).

Santa photo link up

This year Tara wasn't afraid of Santa, but she wouldn't talk to him at all & tell him what she wanted. They actually were video taping all the kids with Santa & it was suppose to be on Comcast on the local channel, but we just switched over to Dish tv. So we didn't get to see her on tv, not talking to Santa.

December daily

Here are a few photos from my December daily album.
Dec 1. We went to a birthday party & we had Princess cupcakes.

Day 2. Just some cute pics.

Day 3. We went to the town tree lighting.

Day 4. We decorated our tree.

Day 5. Her school outfit for that day. The Santa pic was taken on the 3rd, but they didn't have it available on the website till the 8th.

Day 6. Has our 2011 Christmas card on it.

I started doing the pages early & was doing 2 pages for each day, but it seems like a lot. Unless we know that we have an event going on. So I think I'll start doing 1 page per day.

Weekend recap

The weekend went way too fast. Tara slept over my parent's house. We went out to eat last night & wrapped all of her presents.

We went to pick her up today & she had a 6 year old's b-day to go to. They had it at a plaster place & she made this Hello Kitty plaque.

This coming week will be another busy week. I'm hoping to add some photos of my December daily album this week.

Cute hat from Etsy

A few weeks ago I won a contest on Campfire Kam's website, Campfire Chic. I won this pretty hat from Kathryn Greene Crafts.

I thought I was just getting a hat, but she also sent this cute headband. (I'm wearing it right now. This photo below is from today). I was hoping to get pics of my daughter wearing some of the things, but I never did & she's staying at my parent's house tonight. So pics of myself will have to do. She's much cuter in the stuff than me.

She also sent this cute pink headband & 2 extra flowers.

Things I'm looking forward to in 2012

1) Shinedown's new cd coming out

2) Shinedown touring (I already asked hubs if he would hang out with me to meet Brent & Barry. None of my friends are fanatics like I am of the band)

3) My friend Peg's wedding

4) Going to Virginia next August, for Peg's wedding. I haven't been there since 2003. I have a bunch of friends & some relatives there. My best friend from the time I was 6 & she was 5 lives there & I miss her so. Anthony has never been to VA & I want Kim to meet Tara & for her to meet Kim's kids.

I will add more things as it gets closer to 2012.

4 years

4 years ago today, we moved to New Hampshire from Massachusetts. I lived in MA for 37 years, so it was a big change moving to NH. The people are so much mellower here & I am now too. I still have my Boston girl side if someone gets me angry, especially when driving.

Things I like about NH:

Calmer drivers (unless they are from MA)

Bigger yards

Bigger houses

Less traffic

Things I don't like about NH:

The power goes out everytime we get a storm & it stays out for almost a week

They don't plow good

Black flies

Mosquitos out during the day

It takes forever to get anywhere

You can't walk to things (I miss walking to the store & stuff)

Tastefully Simple

My friend Stephanie recently started selling Tastefully Simple products. She had a party a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun. We got to taste test a ton of the products. It was all so yummy. I ended up ordering the Spinach & cheese dip (I hate spinach, but this was really good), the onion dip & the Chocolate ugly cake. I haven't made the cake yet, but I can't wait to try it.
