It's so hard to get a good picture of the animals. I don't think I'll ever be an animal photographer, I think it would be fun though. This is Blue, he is part pit bull. He's 8 months old & very cute.

Spring cleaning

Even though it doesn't feel like Spring here just yet, I've been doing some Spring cleaning. I had magazines from 2012 & 2013 to go through. It took me 6 months.

I have a bunch of sweaters to get rid of. I already brought 1 trashbag to Goodwill. I'd like to sell these online. I have about 50 tank tops, so I might go through & get rid of some of them too.

It feels so nice getting rid of things. I want to purge my whole closet. Boots, pocketbooks, jewelry etc... Make room for some new stuff. Get rid of things that I don't wear.

Easter egg hunt

We went to an Easter egg hunt today.They had it inside because it was snowing out. They were doing face painting this is suppose to be a dolphin.

Nail Files. Week # 198

This week I have on China Glaze~Splish Splash & Essie~Jamaica Me Crazy. I added Sally Hansen Diamond flash coat because Splish Splash is a matte. I love the blue, but it kept chipping. I had to re-do it everyday since I painted them. I will be changing them on Sunday.

Mommy & Me Monday

I was taking a few pics of my new sunglasses & Tara ended up photo bombing me. I think we were sitting a parking lot waiting for some reason. We do a lot of car selfies.

Daddy/Daughter dance

Tonight was the Daddy/daughter dance. This is the 2nd year that they went. She had lots of fun. Not as many of her friends went this year. But her bff was there.

I just bought this polish on Monday. I don't think I'll be buying anymore Salon perfect glitters/mixed polishes. I have 2 more & they dried up really quick. This is pretty thick & since I opened the bottle it's gotten even thicker. I have China Glaze~Pinking out the Window on underneath & the SP is Rough around the Edges.

Beauty corner

Recently I won a giveaway from Kristina @ The Feminine Files. I got a few Pacifica products. I've never tried their products before. I got some coconut facial wipes, they smell so good. Also Alight Multi-mineral BB cream. So far I really like it, but I haven't been using it that long.

I bought this new quick dry primer spray for my hair. My hair is so thick that it takes forever to dry. I blow dry it in the Winter. I love the smell of this, but it hasn't helped my hair dry any quicker. So I won't be purchasing it again.

Volunteering~A kitten, a puppy & 2 dogs on my head

I didn't get to walk any dogs today. But I went in with this little girl, Chloe to clean her cage. She is 7 months old & really playful.

 There was an adorable kitten waiting to have surgery. I can't post a photo because she isn't up for adoption.
 I went in the room & sat with this cat. She was really friendly & very fluffy.

I also went into another cage to clean it out. There were 2 chihauhaus in there. Bruiser, who is 11 & Beanie, who is 8. They were both really nervous & panting & shaking the whole time I was in there. I was kneeling down & 1 climbed up me & ended up on my shoulders/neck. Then the other 1 did that too. Good thing they were small. I hope they get adopted soon. They have to go together.

Nail Files. Week # 196

This week I had on Sinful colors shine~Prosecco & Sally Hansen Triple Shine~Pool party. I've been doing nail files for so long you think I would get better at doing my nails. Sorry about the messy sides. Another problem that I have is I can't sit still. So most of the time I smudge my nails. I'm trying different quick dry top coats. I got Seche Vite finally, but I hate the smell & I think it bothers my allergies. Today I bought Sally Hansen Diamond flash top coat. I saw someone recommend that. So I'll see how that goes.

Ortega Taco Casserole

I changed this recipe up a lot. I used ground chicken instead of beef, I used gluten-free taco mix & mild salsa. No chiles & no olives.

Ortega Taco casserole

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 cup water
1/2 cup ORTEGA Thick & Smooth Taco Sauce - Medium 4 ozs.
ORTEGA Diced Green Chiles
1 can (2.25 oz.) sliced ripe olives, drained, divided
1 package ORTEGA Taco Seasoning Mix - Regular
1 package (4.5 oz) ORTEGA Taco Shells (12 ct), broken 2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese, divided 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes (optional)
1/8 cup sliced green onions (optional)

PREHEAT oven to 375°F.

COOK beef, onion and garlic until beef is browned; drain. Stir in water, taco sauce, chiles, 1/4 cup olives and seasoning mix. Cook over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes.

LAYER half of broken taco shells on bottom of greased 12 x 8-inch baking dish. Cover with half of meat sauce; sprinkle with 1 cup cheese. Repeat with remaining shells, meat sauce and cheese. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is melted. Top with remaining olives, tomatoes and green onions. yields: 0 - preparation time: 10 min - cooking time: 35 min

March Goals

I'm a bit late on my Monthly goals. I have a few that I am working on already. So here they are:

1. Go through my closet & get rid of some more clothes.
2. Go for a walk outside, once we have a warm day.
3. Finish going through my old magazines & get rid of them.
4. Do some Smashbook pages. I haven't done any in a really long time.
5. Put away some of my Winter clothes. Even though it will still probably be cold.
6. Make 2 new recipes this month.

Nail files. Week #195

This week I've had on China Glaze~Sweet Hook & Sinful colors Bloomblast~Petal be the Day. The China Glaze has been chipping really bad all week. I keep re-doing it. I've been using Seche Vite too on top. I don't love the new Bloomblast polish either. I'm glad that I only got 1. They have a pink & orange (I wouldn't buy orange, only for Halloween/October maybe). I love glitter, but I also hate it at times. This was pretty thick & lumpy. I love purple & blue, so I thought I would like it.

Volunteering

I walked this cute dog today. I feel horrible because I can't remember his/her name. I see so many dogs & cats when I go to the shelter. When I went to take him out, he brought his baby with him. I thought that was so cute. He carried the baby with him the whole way & only dropped him once. I think it is a squirrel. His baby is bigger than him. This made me smile. Animals are so funny. The dog is a 1 year old Tsi shu.

New Month, Welcome March

I don't think I've ever been so excited for a month to be over. February was rough & it's a short month too. I'm trying to think positive that it will warm up & will start to feel like Spring. I can get outside & go for a walk.
