We went to a cookout over A's friend's house today. We saw our friend's Tommy & Kristen & their son, Cameron, who was Tara's 1st b/f when she was little. I know that sounds funny. We lived with them for 5 weeks, in their inlaw apt when we sold our house in MA & before we moved to NH. They were both under 6 months old at the time. We haven't seen them since last Labor day. They're both so grown up now.

Not creative tonight
I'm sitting here trying to make an anniversary card for my hubby for tomorrow. I have nothing. I started it, but think I'll work on it more tomorrow morning. I don't know if it's just me that goes through that, where you just have no ideas at all. I usually search sites or check out idea books. Next I have 3 Father's day cards to do & 20 b-day invitations. At least I already have ideas for those.

To have a yard sale or not
I've been wanting to have a yard sale for a while now. So I'm trying to decide if we will or not. It will mostly be my stuff. The bad thing is I already got rid of a lot of my things on freecycle & brought a lot to Goodwill. So I don't have as many things as I would have. Another problem is finding time to have 1 & planning it & all. Maybe we'll wait till early September. I've been trying to get some things together. Does anyone have any advice on having a succesful yard sale? I've never had 1.

Yearly check up
Today I went for my yearly check up. I had to fast, so I could have a bloodtest done. I checked in & went to the bloodwork area. They didn't have the papers yet. So I had my check up & then had the blood test. I was so hungry by then. Didn't get to eat till 10:30. I just want to remind everyone how important a yearly check up is. I'm still trying to get my hubby to go for his. He was suppose to go in October.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend
Our weekend was pretty busy. We went out for Mexican food on Fri night, yard sale on Sat, got stuff for our yard & flowers on Sunday & went to my parent's house today. It still doesn't seem like Memorial day weekend to me. The fun is just starting, we're booked every weekend till Sept pretty much.

The ride home tonight
We went out to dinner with some of A's friends tonight. We were driving home, after dark & a fisher cat ran across the street in front of us & then a deer. I was telling him to drive slow in case anymore animals ran in front of us. I always drive a bit slower now that I live in NH because of all of the animals. So different for me, being from the city.

My season of worry starts today
My hubby started driving his motorcycle to work today. So I'll be worrying anytime he takes it out to work or where ever. I've never been much a motorcycle person. He got his license & bike about 2 years ago. I am planning on taking a ride around town in it, as soon as we get me a helmet. But don't think I will love it & want to do it that often.

Making time to read
I love to read, but haven't had much time to read a book since I had Tara. Other than her toddler book each month (which is totally boring). Her storytime at the library ended today till the fall, but I still want to go there once a week. We were going there a lot over the Winter. I got Multiple Bles8ings today by Jon & Kate. I'm hoping it won't take 4 months to finish it.

Rockin night
Last night we went to my friend Marion's hubby's 40th b-day dinner. They didn't make reservations, so we didn't sit down to eat till just before 10. By then the band, Ript was playing. So T got to see her 2nd live band (Only a few songs). This is her dancing & singing in her seat.
This was her dancing. Sorry it came out blurry.

Convention
The convention was fun. It seemed really rushed though. No one got to finish any of the pages, but we did learn a few things. I feel like I'm still a newbie in a way, so I was pretty lost. We got a few things in the class for free. I won an idea book. Also bought a new scrapping t-shirt & some stuff. Lots of the items were $1. I think I lost a few of the things, I noticed that I had a hole in my bag. So that's a bummer. I'm gonna look around more for them.

My bag is packed
I'm pretty much ready for the scrapbooking convention tomorrow. Just need to finish printing photos. I'm really excited. The bad thing is I have no $ to buy things. I spent most of it on supplies today. We also have our friend's hubby's 40th b-day dinner tomorrow night. I'll have pics on Sunday of everything.

I'll review your products
I've seen a lot of people doing reviews of other people's products. I'm not really sure how you get started doing that, but if anyone has a company/etsy shop product that you would like me to review on my blog let me know. My e mail is on my sidebar.

Thanks to coupons
I've found some new products. Well not new, but new to me. Sorry to write so many blogs about coupons. But today I bought some Sun chips. I got the Peppercorn ranch 1s, with a coupon & they're so good. I don't know why I didn't try them sooner. They're also pretty healthy. I've gotten a bunch of things that I wouldn't have tried if I didn't have a coupon for them.

I heart freebies
I found a few sites that send you free samples. Some of them you just have to sign up for their e mails. Walmart.com has samples on their site. I also go on http://www.shop4freebies.com I set up a gmail account just for freebies, freecycle, craigslist & contests. I usually get at least 2 samples a week. I love going my mailbox. Well I always did, but it's a little more fun now.

Chocolate swirled banana bread
I made this today. I found it on someone's blog (I can't remember who). Ignor the choc all over the pan, I'm definitely not a neat baker/cooker. We haven't tried it yet. We're eating it for breakfast tomorrow.
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 c. flour
¾ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt1 c. sugar
¼ c. butter, softened
1 ½ c. mashed ripe bananas (about 3-4 medium bananas)
2 eggs
1/3 c. plain low fat yogurt or sour cream (I used yogurt)
½ c. chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cups and level. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
2. Cream sugar and butter. Add bananas, eggs, and yogurt/sour cream, beating until just blended. Add flour mixture. Beat on low until just moistened.
3. Microwave chocolate chips in a medium bowl for 1 minute. Stir until smooth. Cool slightly.
4. Add 1 c. batter to chocolate, stirring until well-combined.
5. Spoon chocolate batter alternately with plain batter (so you have stripes of plain and chocolate batter) in an 8 ½” x 4 ½” loaf pan coated with cooking spray. Swirl batters with a knife.
6. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 15 minutes (give or take a little; I'd probably set your timer for 1 hour and 10 minutes to be safe) or until a knife comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan and then remove and cool completely on a wire rack. I did half with walnuts on top & half without.

Wicked fun day
1st we met my friend Alyson @ Papa Ginos for lunch. We hadn't seen her forever. This is T eating a Hoodsie in PG's.
My Sampler from Out of the box samplers came today. http://www.outoftheboxsampler.com My fave things are the Orange cream body butter, the PurBliss, Nutty caramelbliss candle (wow. it smells so good) & the Mile-Hi Chocolate chai drink mix.

We hit a bunch of stores. I got a few things in AC Moore. I needed to get a cutter for the scrapbooking convention in a week. I also found these family decals. We have some on our car, but this Mom 1 is so me. The hair, lipstick, the shades & the shopping bags.
Finally I won a contest. I haven't won any since Feb. This is the girl's etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5600749 & her blog.
Her stuff is so cute.

Happy day
I just found out that my friend Peg in VA is hoping to come visit this Summer since we can't go there this year. I'm so excited. I met her on myspace in 03 & haven't seen her since 06. We met up in Atlantic city. We've also decided to go to Bar Harbor, Maine for a few days for my b-day & then North Conway for a few days. We're going to stay at the same b&b that we stayed at last year. Fun fun fun.
