Decorating for Christmas today

We decorated the house for X-mas today & it flurried out. How appropriate. I don't think you can tell in the pic. We won't be putting the tree up just yet & didn't decorate the outside yet. I still have to add to the mantel & the shelving in the kitchen. But it's a start.

Reunion fun

So I finally went to my reunion. The 1 & only that I'll probably go to. It was nice seeing old friends. Most of them I remember from elementary school & Jr high.

Nailpolish. I was talking about nailpolish. What were you thinking? At Walgreens they have a brand called Sinful & they have really cool colors & it's a good price. I have 4 or 5 of them so far.

Getting ready

I'm getting ready to go to my high school reunion this Friday night. I'm excited & nervous. I dragged myself to Walmart today (still feeling horrible) to have my hair trimmed & I'm gonna dye my hair Wednesday night. I got 3 new shirts today. 1 for Thanksgiving, 1 for the reunion & 1 just cause I liked it (a Tinkerbell sweatshirt. It's too small tho', so I have to exchange it). I hate wearing the same shirt twice in pics. I've never been to any of my reunions. This will be my 20th. Some really good old friends are going & that's the only reason I'm going. I never thought I would go to a reunion. I figured only the snobby people I never talked to would be the main 1s going. I'll write a blog about it sometime next weekend & probably add some pics.

No time

Lately I haven't had much time on the computer, which is really frustrating. I make a list of things I want to do online & don't even get to do all of them. Lately I have an obsession with reading blogs, but don't have a chance to sit down & read them all. I'm so behind in e mails & trying to catch up. Hopefully I can get caught up soon with all of my fun online things.

We went to a craft fair today. We wanted to get Tara's pic with Santa, but she freaked out when we tried to put her on his lap. So we got in the pic with her. It was only $3, so we're hoping to go there every year & have it done.

Why would they do that on Ghost Whisperer?

I've been watching the show for a long time. Lots of times I miss it cause we're out on Friday nights (can't wait to get a DVR). Maybe we should have seen this coming, but now I just think it's getting dumb & more confusing. This might be the beginning of the end for the show. Maybe it would have worked if they just kept Jim as a ghost, but I don't like the way it's going now.

1) I haven't done too much cleaning this week. I haven't vacuumed in over a week. Hey, I am sick still.
2) I hate giving my daughter a bath. It's just such a pain. Isn't once a week good enough? She's not that dirty.
3) I haven't been eating too good this week. Since we didn't go food shopping last week. Our fridge is empty. I had a Carnation breakfast drink for lunch today at 3:30. We are going food shopping tomorrow.
4) I haven't started Christmas shopping yet. Am I the only 1? If it was up to my hubby, we wouldn't go till X-mas eve. I do have packages to mail out of state & to Australia. So I need to get going.
Well I guess that's it. My 1st Friday confessions & I could only think of 4 things.

Cool X-mas wine glasses

I got these today at Rite aid. I'm going to put them on the shelf in the kitchen. Maybe put some mini ball ornaments in them or some type of candle. Any ideas?

Fun Thursday

We had a fun day today. We went to a meeting with our new Mom group. Then went to Rite Aid & CVS. I got the X-mas cards & I'm writing out the envelopes now. I ended up picking #3. Still sick, but feeling better. I'm thinking of maybe going to my 20 year high school reunion next Friday night. I'm not sure. We already have plans to go to our friend's house that day. I'm not sure what time. I'm trying to find out. I had no desire to go, but I found out that some of my old friends are going. So now I want to go. I'm hoping we can do both. What are your Thanksgiving plans?

We're just keeping it simple & going out to eat. We're going to Cracker barrel. I'm not big on all of the T'giving food. We're having Christmas at our house like we always do, so we figure this would be easier. It will just be us & my parents & A's parents. What are you plans & traditions?

Snotty days

Well today I feel worse than I have all week. I could hardly talk when I got up. I'm in for the day in my pjs. T has a cold too. I don't think she feels that bad. She's still running around & has tons of energy. I decided to show her how to blow her nose. She gets it, but doesn't want to use a tissue. I was in the other room & came in & she had blown her nose all over her face. She litterally had a booger beard & mustache. Eww. I am taking the new Dayquill pills with Vitamin c. I don't think it matters now with the c cause I'm already sick & my new best friend is Puff's plus with Vicks. So lots of lemon tea with honey & orange juice today. I'm gonna go sit on the couch & read some mags & chase the child.

Pretzel hugs

1 bag pretzels

1 pkg. M&Ms

1 pkg. Hershey "Hugs"

Place pretzels on baking stone or sheet. Place a Hug on each pretzel and bake at 200 degrees for about 8 minutes (just watch for the Hugs to melt). Remove from oven and promptly place a couple of M&Ms on each pretzel, pressing into the melted chocolate. Allow to cool before serving. At room temperature, this takes SEVERAL hours. I would recommend making these the day before you plan on eating/delivering. Or you can put them in the refrigerator to speed up the process.

Great Christmas tree shop finds

I got 2 Giant ornaments. We're gonna hang them under the mantle. A fall flag & an 8x8 scrapbook that I'm gonna use as a recipe book of our fave recipes. It was only $1.99 & came with a bunch of stickers & papers & ribbons.

Scrapbook paper set

I ordered a scrapbook paper set from Lakeside.com. It came last night. It's awesome. There's 180 sheets & 84 different designs. It has every season from New years to X-mas. Today I went to a scrapbooking club meeting. The woman who had it at her house was really nice. She has a beautiful house. I only got to do 1 page. Hopefully I'll finish more next Month.

A bunch of things

I figured that I'd put everything in 1 blog today. 1st of all Tara hit JoJo in the mouth with her hand on Sunday night. Jo was acting weird, so we brought her to the vet yesterday. They said that her mouth was swollen & she might have an infection. They gave us antibiotics to give to her. They said she has a loose tooth, maybe more than 1 (not from Tara hitting her). She has to have them pulled & have her teeth cleaned again. She had it done last year for $330-400. This time they said it will be over $500. So we're gonna get a 2nd opinion. She has to go back to the vet next Wed to see how she's doing with the antibiotics. Both Tara & I have colds. My throat is killing me & her nose started dripping today. I think our tv in the living room might be dying. Not sure. Anthony will look at it when he gets home. It keeps turning black & white & then goes back to color & is making a weird noise. So no tv in the living room today. We have our Transiberian orchestra cd on now. Our X-mas labels are in. I like them. I met a girl from the craft fair this morning. She made some mittens for Tara. She didn't have any with her that fit at the fair. They're so cute. I'm sure she won't keep them on.

We have NECN (New England cable news) on & they're talking about snow up in the mountains & Northern New England. I don't really even want to think about Snow. Since we had such a rough Winter last year, I'm trying not to think about it for this year yet. Hopefully we have another month before it starts snowing here.
