Juniors department or Misses?

I have a confession, I'm 38 & shop in the Jrs dept. I just never find anything in the Misses dept. Once in a blue moon. I was in a store today looking at jrs clothes & there was a 15 year old girl looking at the clothes too. Eeek. I hope I'm not the only 1 who shops there. Some things look way too young for me & I wouldn't wear that stuff. But I feel like I'm not ready to wear old lady clothes either. Slacks & things. (Do they still say slacks)? So if you see me in the jrs dept don't laugh, just move along & pretend like you didn't see me.

New scrap blog

I just found this blog today. http://iftheshoefitsscrapit.blogspot.com It starts tomorrow. They're going to have challenges & layouts etc. I found it on Cafemom. If you're not on there check it out. Blogaversary

I've been blogging for a year today. Yay. It's been fun & I didn't realize how much I'd really get into it. I had a blog on Livejournal back in 05, I think. But didn't post often & don't think people were doing it much back then. Now everyone has a blog & it's more fun. I've met some really cool bloggy friends & look forward to reading everyone's blogs everyday.

Lost

I've been a fan of Lost for a long time. This season I've been more confused than ever. I also don't like the going back in time thing. The white light & all. I keep saying I'm going to stop watching it, but don't want to miss anything. So I'll probably watch it till the end. I heard that it's ending in 2010.

Found some software

I just found 4 cds of software, that I didn't know that I had. Well Tara found them. We have a lot of stuff in our bedroom from my office that I didn't put away yet. She found a box that came with my camera, that I got last July. 1 of them is scrapbooking software & 3 are photo editing cds. I'm so happy. I was just checking out the s'booking 1. It's My scrapbook 2.

Pistachios

Why can't you ever eat just 1? Lately I've been eating them at 9:00 at night. Probably not the best time to eat them.

New office

My new office (guest room) is set up finally. It's not done, but looks cute so far. My great hubby started at 11:30 setting up my new desk & finished setting it up & moving everything around at 9:30pm. I put up the pink curtains & I think they really add color. I can't wait to get in here & scrap. I'll add some pics to this post tomorrow. Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

My girl made me proud

We went to a benefit today for a little boy. It was Tara's 1st concert. She had so much fun. She danced the whole night & even in front of the stage & the band. She loved the music & wasn't scared of the loud noise. As a huge rock chic & concert goer, it made me so proud to have a little mini rock chic. I went back to my seat & Anthony stayed up with her in back of the dance floor & he said the singer took her up on stage & sang to her. I unfortunatley missed it & he didn't have the camera with him. I'm hoping someone got a pic of it. I'll add it on here if I get 1. Also won a raffle, Bath & body works Velvet tuberose stuff (I wanted to add it at the bottom of this blog, but forgot, so it's at the top). They had the benefit for the little boy, Gavin last year too. His Mom, Christine was murdered by her hubby in Nov of 07. I only met her once, but my friend Marion was really good friends with her. Anthony also knew her somewhat & her hubby.

The Station nightclub fire 6 year anni today

6 years ago today the terrible nightclub fire happened. I was in shock the next morning when I saw it on the news. Friends were calling me & e mailing me from all over (Hawaii, Australia etc...) to make sure that I wasn't there. Luckily I wasn't. I had been there 3 times with my old roomie (& 1 of my best friends Renee). It was 1 of our fave clubs. We always had fun when we went there. She moved back to MI in 2001. If she had still lived here we might have been there that night. Her b-day is today 2/20, so we might have gone cause it was her b-day that night. I don't think anyone can understand how we all feel unless you had been to the club, lost a loved 1 or were there & survived. I picture what it looked like inside & all the people trying to get out. We had only been there 3x, but there were always regulars. We didn't know them, just saw the same faces. I wonder if any of them were killed in the fire? We'll never know since we didn't know their names. So every year on this day I will always think of that dreadful day & wish Renee a Happy Birthday & know that she's also thinking of the fire. I think I'll give her a call today. I sent her a b-day package. These pics below were taking inside the Station. Sore throat

I've had a sore throat everyday for a month now. I think I'm going to make an appointment next week to get checked out (if it doesn't go away). I don't think it's normal. About 10 years ago I asked a doc if I could have my tonsils out. He really didn't say much. I've always had sore throats, but I'm getting really sick of them. Every September I get them for a month or 2 straight. I think from the change in weather. I've been taking Tylenol, Advil, Sucrets, tea with honey, sore throat tea (from Yogi tea) etc.. It just won't go away & stay away. Just wanted to vent about it.

Free coconut body butter

I went to the mall today (Sephora). I know I said that I wasn't going to shop for a while, but I had something that I wanted to get from Clinique & used my tax $ (that we haven't gotten yet, by the way). So I bought the face powder & they said I could pick 1 item out of 3 samples. So I got the coconut body butter. It smells super yummy.
