Birthday fun

I had a great Birthday weekend. We went to Bar Harbor & got home tonight. The weather was awesome. It's usually cool, rainy & misty when we are there. I'll be adding lots of photos. I took tons of photos of the mountains, beaches, a rock beach & more.

New year, new goals

So my birthday is in a few days & I want to try to work on some goals to make the new year better.

1. Worry less
2. Do pilates or walk at least 2 days a week
3. Get some help around the house
4. Smile more
5. More date nights
6. Get crafty more often

New England Minute~Salem, MA

I love going to Salem. We usually go once a year. We live further away now, I grew up 5-10 minutes from there. So we get there when we can.

 

Dance Recital

Today was the dance recital. Tara looked beautiful & she did great. I'm so proud of her. Dancing in the auditorium, in front of all of those people. We're so much alike, but I would have never done anything like that.

Dance rehearsal

Jazz was up first. It's an upbeat song & it had a cool background. Tara was in the front for most of it.

 

 

 Below are the ballet pictures. I think that dance is so cute. It's a song from "Tangled". It's really slow & mellow.

The recital is on Saturday night. Can't wait. More photos to come.

Happy Mail from the past week

Almost a 2nd grader

Yesterday I got to go into Tara's class & see her fave books & find out what she liked best about 1st grade & what she learned this year. I can't believe school will be out in 4 & 1/2 days & she will be a 2nd grader. Where does the time go? This is a photo of her with her teacher. I take a photo each year of her with her teacher. I think it's really nice to have.

This week I was in a blue jean kind of mood, so I had on Sinful Colors~Rain Storm & L.A. Colors Color craze (not sure of the color, but underneatch it says Bcc 651) & I put a blue glitter on top of the plain blue The icing~ Hey Sailor Boy.

New adventure (Want to join me?)

Wordless Wednesday~Summer stuff

 

 

All about JoJo

So I post a lot about the Drama Queen, but not so much about my other baby (my fur baby). JoJo was my 1st child. I adopted her in 2000. She was 3. I had my 1st apt & went a year without a cat & it was horrible. Because I lived in an apt I ended up with JoJo because I had to adopt a declawed cat. We've been through a lot together. She's always made me smile, whenever I was down. She's the bright spot in my day. She's very easy going.

 

 

She loves shoes & every night around 9:00, she wakes up & gets ready to listen to us read a book to Tara. She's been doing that since she was a baby. She is going to be 17 in June. She is starting to lose weight & is having trouble jumping up on things. So I'm thinking that she isn't going to be around that much longer. So I'm getting cuddle time in with her as much as I can, since she's a lap kitty.
