New Year's Eve

Well it's New Year's eve & I have a bad cold. I'm not going to make it till Midnight. Went food shopping today, to the mall, BJs, Texas Roadhouse & then to the neighbor's house for a party. I really should have stayed home from the party & rested. But I sort of have all day tomorrow to rest. We are taking down our Christmas tree & just relaxing. Then Wednesday back to dance for Tara & back to school. Life will finally be back to normal.

 

What I'm looking forward to in 2013

January~That's a hard 1, I hate January (January makes me think of being stuck in the house because of the snow & having cabin fever)
February~Heart day (that's what Tara calls Valentine's day)
March~Spring & Girl's scrapbooking weekend at that gorgeous cabin that we stayed at last year
April~Warmer weather
May~Our 7 year wedding anniversary
June~My Birthday & our Summer vacation (Maybe Bar Harbor or  Montreal & Quebec city)
July~Tara's 6th birthday (6 really? Where did time go?)
August~Celebrating the last days of Summer
September~Back to school all day for Tara (the bad thing is that means I might have to get a job)
October~Anthony's birthday
November~Seeing family on Thanksgiving (even though I don't like the food)
December~Getting ready to start a new year (hopefully a lot healthier & more organized)

Today I have on Sephora by OPI~Absinthe makes the heart. It's really old & lumpy & pretty much dried up. I hate that. I was bored with the pink that I had on. I'll be changing it within the next few days for New Year's Eve.

Bored lately

 

I've been really bored lately with lots of things. I'm not the type of person that gets bored. I have tons of projects to do. But lately reading blogs, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.... is just boring me. Not sure what is going on. Not just that stuff. I haven't gotten much happy mail & I'm all caught up in my letters. I have like 6 recent letters left. Just feel like I'm in a slump. The days are so long & just drag. I've been napping more & staying in bed longer (when hubs is home). Maybe it's just Winter & that I have S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder). Hoping things will change after the new year.

Getting ready for Christmas. Just a few days away. Our 1st party is tomorrow, then we have friends coning over on X-mas eve & family on X-mas day. We might even have snow for Christmas. That's the only time I don't mind snow.

New hair~Bangs

 

I finally did it, I had bangs cut & I'm not sure if I like them or not. I don't really like the way the girl styled them. I don't want them to poof out so much. So maybe once I wash them & style them the way I want I'll like them a little better. If not I'll be growing them out soon.

Yum of the day~Toffee coffee

 

I'm not a coffee drinker, never have been. I always wanted to like coffee to help me wake up & to go hang out at cool coffee shops, but it's just not my thing liking coffee. It taste like ashes to me. I do like Dunkin donuts, Dunkachinos. A few weeks ago I had a Tastefully simple party & my friend (the host) brought this drink to try & I loved it. It's really sweet (I love sweet) & it has a lot of calories & sugar. So I think I will only have 2 a week. Wednesday's we have to get up early because we have to get to dance class, so that will be a good day & maybe on Mondays.

Date night

This morning my Dad picked Tara up & brought her to his house to sleep over tonight. We cleaned & organized her room. It's such a mess & she is such a hoarder. She keeps my trash (she picks through my trash can in my office. I threw away 3 pens that didn't work & she now has them, old expired coupons & other paper products) & also every popsicle stick, cheese wrapper, candy wrapper etc... So we wanted to clean up before X-mas & she gets lots more new things. So that was our day (we still have to finish up in the morning & then go get her before it starts snowing) & then we went out to dinner to Carrabbas (I had a coupon) & got some gifts for our friends.

Bah Humbug

That's how I feel this year. 30 minutes in line at Walmart to pick up a ship to store item (a Christmas present. I had to go to the back of the store, where the layaway was) & 30 minutes today in line at the post office (at least all of my packages are mailed out now). This year I'm not doing a cookie swap (don't need all the extra callories), skipping the Mom group holiday party ($25 secret Santa. No thanks) & skipping the Mom group potluck. Less headaches & less stress.
