No internet
We had a snowstorm Wednesday night & had no phone or internet till around 8pm tonight. The hubs realized that he had to reset cable or something. Not sure. We had tv. I hate not being able to get online. So I have some catching up to do. I have been taking pics for my 365 project. Just need to add them. I went to the Stampin' up girl's house today to make the last card that I didn't get to make last Sat. It came out cute & I got to heat emboss for the 1st time. I'll add a pic on the 365 blog. Tomorrow we're having our taxes done & Tara has a friend's b-day party. Just a little update. Night everyone.

My office
I ordered these cute curtains for my office/guest room. There's beads on them. I did ship to store, so they should be in next week midweek at Walmart. I'll prob have to have them shortened. I've decided to do the room black, white & pink. It's coming along. Eventually I want to get a new comforter & black & white pillows. Right now there's a beige & white plaid comforter on the bed. It was my hubby's & it works for now.

Stampin' up class
I went to the Stampin' up class last night. I had no clue what I was doing & felt like a dummy. The instructor had to show me step by step how to do things. Everyone else has done it before. I loved her scrapping room & she let me take a few pics. I'm trying to get some ideas for my room, but mine is really small. So I couldn't even do this in my room. I learned a lot.

I love cats
We went to a playdate today & the girl that had it at her house had the cutest kitten. His name is Eli & she's only had him for a week. He is only around 6-8 weeks old. I've always been a fanatic about cats. So I asked her where she got him & she told me. His sis is still at the MSPCA. When I got home I called A at work. I figured he'd say no, but it was worth a try. So I asked him if he kind of loved me & stuff (that's how I put it) & he said "Yes". Then I sprung it on him. He said no, that we can't afford another cat right now. Maybe after I start working someday. So I'm sad & really bummed out. Does anyone have a kitten that they can just happen to leave on my front porch?

My bracelet is here
I ordered a bracelet from Lori @ http://www.toosillysisters.etsy.com. Her bracelets are so cute (& other items too. I have my eye on 1 of the necklaces). This is suppose to be a Valentine pressie from my Hubby, but I might wear it before then. Shhh, maybe he won't notice. I'll add a pic of me wearing it sometime. Check out Lori's cute blog too. www.perfectisboring.blogspot.com

How cute
I decided to decorate the coffee/chocolate can this morning. I can put buttons or other craft things in it. It came out pretty cute. I'm going to put it up on my shelf once the Hubs hangs it up. I used 2 different papers that I got in a swap. The top paper has P's on it for Princess & crowns & the other paper says I believe in Fairytales.

Homemade masks for Winter skin
I saw these on the Martha Stewart show.
Homemade Masks
These wonderful homemade masks are perfect for using during cold months.
Honey-bee pollen mask
The honey-bee pollen mask is for dry skin and will rehydrate it and make it glow. Simply combine 2 tablespoons raw organic honey and 2 tablespoons crushed bee pollen in a small bowl. Apply the mixture to the face and neck and leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing with cool water. You can get the bee pollen at a health food store.
Oatmeal and raw honey mask
Ideal for dry skin, the oatmeal and raw honey mask helps soften skin, moisturizing the upper layers, and leaving it vibrant and radiant. To make, simply combine 1 cup oatmeal and 1 cup filtered warm water in a bowl and allow the oatmeal to absorb the water. Add 1/2 cup raw organic honey and mix well. Apply mixture to a clean face and neck and leave on for 30 minutes before rinsing with cool water.
Aloe and cucumber mask
This hydrating mask helps soothe irritated skin. To make, simply combine 1 large chopped aloe plant leaf (or 1 cup aloe juice) and 1 cup chopped cucumber in a blender. Apply to clean face and leave on 30 minutes before rinsing with cool water. Resources For more information about beauty expert Susan Ciminelli, visit susanciminelli.com.

Uh oh
Anthony told me last night that they announced that there are going to be layoffs at his work in 2 weeks. We wish that they hadn't told him, now we're gonna be worrying for the next 2 weeks. Hopefully he's safe. I'm not sure what we'd do since I don't work other than being a sahm.

Yum of the day
I got a coupon for the new Little Debbie 100 calorie cakes. So I bought a box yesterday. They are so good. I did good & only had 1, but they are so yummy, I tried to force Anthony to try 1, but he was full & said he'd have 1 tonight. Then I thought about it & realized I really didn't want to share them with anyone. So I might hide them before he comes home from work. Just kidding. If you go to littledebbie.com you can print at .55 coupon.

Pampered chef party
Well my pampered chef party is off for tomorrow. Hopefully we can reschedule it for sometime in early March. We're getting a snow storm tonight into tomorrow. Not sure how much we'll get. Anyone that thinks they can make it in March let me know. I might possibly have it on March 1st. I have to talk to the P chef girl. She'll be home from Denver tonight.

Marshalls finds
Today I was heading to Walgreens, for some reason my car started heading to Marshalls. I'm not a Marshalls person (I love TJ Maxx tho'). 1 of Anthony's friend's wives got a really cute ornament there (I wanted to see if they had any left) & I also saw online that they had Ed Hardy scarfs, so I thought I'd go there. I found some great things. I'm so excited. 2 for organizing. I wasn't sure what I was gonna do with this wooden 1, but my magazines fit great in it. I might go back & get another 1.
I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with this heart basket. I have it on my scrapbooking shelf.

Lipgloss for Bella
Please check out this e mail. A few of my friends know her. We all love lipgloss.
Hello friends, family and those we may never meet, I want to introduce you to a very special little girl who has taught us all the meaning of enjoying life to the fullest no matter what may come your way. Please pass this along to anyone who might be able to help support this darling little girl. On May 7, 2007 Bella Burton, daughter to Ed and Rachel (Uhlig) Burton and sister to Gabi, was diagnosed with Morquio syndrome, or MPS IV type A. Her battle has been one that has always been met with a smile and a little shine of lip gloss, something Bella treasures in her princess pocketbook. Bella has a very rough road ahead of her with as many as 30-50 surgeries possible. She has already had the surgery on her neck and spent an uncomfortable amount of time with a halo attached to the bones in her head. January 9, 2009 Bella will undergo a double reconstructive hip surgery and also a double reconstructive foot surgery. The second half of the foot surgery will be done Jan. 30,2009. During this time Bella will be in a hip spica cast from her armpits to her toes for a total of 8-10 weeks. Bella's expenses have not been entirely met with health insurance, therefore, much of Bella's needs have been paid for out of pocket. This would include co-payments to numerous doctors' visits and hospital visits, specialized strollers and car seats, braces and shoes, and more.In an effort to ease some of this financial burden, we are holding a fund raiser for our Princess Bella and of course it involves LIP GLOSS! Our goal for the month of January is to sell 1,000 f.y.i. lip glosses from Arbonne International, with the entire $3,500 profit to benefit Bella. PLEASE PASS THIS EMAIL ALONG TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW SO WE CAN MEET OUR GOAL! Each gloss is only $10.50 with tax and they come in six different color/flavors. Please add an additional $1.50 for delivery ($.50 each additional) so the cost doesn't have to come out of Bella's profit.Total will be $12.00 for the first gloss $11.00 each additional.Click on the photo below to see the colors.
#1 Vogue (very slight pink tint: tastes like banana)
#2 VIP (a little more pink: tastes like strawberry)
#3 Diva (orange tint: also berry-like)
#4 Fashionista (coral tint: again fruity!! I can't tell anymore!
#5 Paparazzi (clear shine: no flavor noticed)
#6 Couture (redder tint: Watermelon!))
ALL QUESTIONS AND ORDERS MUST BE EMAILED DIRECTLY TO: sandy.skrocki@gmail.com
Make checks payable to Sandra Skrocki and mail to:
81 Laurel Hill Road, Westhampton, MA 01027
I will be placing the entire bulk order on my credit card at the end of the event. Glosses will be delivered in February.Thank you all your help and support for Bella.

Martha
Recently I just got into Martha Stewart. I know some people love her & some hate her, but I think she's awesome. I've been watching her show the past few weeks, since Rachael Ray has been repeats. I even tried to watch her on On Demand, but our dumb Comcast On Demand doesn't work too often. I'm gonna start checking out her mag & her website too.

Project 365
I thought I'd explain what the 365 project is. It's simply a year in photos. I've decided to take a photo everyday & started a blog for it. I love taking photos, so I thought it would be fun. I heard about it last year, but it was too late to start it. I know some of you thought I'd be blogging everyday. I do try to blog everyday, but it doesn't always work out like that. I prob won't add photos everyday, but will be taking pics & might add a few at a time. Here's my new photo blog.

New year eve
Happy 2009 everyone. We ended up staying in last night cause we had a snowstorm. We ordered a pizza & ate it on China. Silly me. We had to have the pizza delivered cause Anthony's truck was stuck down at the bottom of our driveway. We even went to bed before midnight. Yeah, we're old. I started my 365 project blog today. I think it is going to be kind of hard at times.
