I've known that I'm an empath for a while now. I hear other people's problems & take it on as my own. I want to save the world & fix everyone's problems. I know I can't do that, but it's hard to turn off those feelings of wanting to help everyone. For example, my brother had a stroke, can barely talk or move his hands, he is stuck in a wheelchair & is often angry. What can I do to help cheer him up? I imagine what it would be like to not be able to talk & do all the things I love. I was thinking maybe it would be nice for him to take a day trip to an animal shelter to see some dogs & other animals or maybe somehow he could get a service dog. My friend had colon cancer & I felt for her as she went to chemo every week or other week. All of this wears me down. I already have chronic fatigue & fibro & am always exhausted. I hate watching the news because it leaves me feeling sad & anxious. I hate hearing animal abuse stories or child abuse stories etc.... I would like to work on things to learn how to not feel so much, but it's not an easy thing. I'm planning on getting some books on the subject & crystals to help.

Life as an Empath
Empath: A person who is capable of feeling the emotions of others despite the fact that they themselves are not going through the same situation.
I've known that I'm an empath for a while now. I hear other people's problems & take it on as my own. I want to save the world & fix everyone's problems. Colonoscopy
Sorry that I haven't been posting every day. Things have been a little stressful & busy around here, but things are getting better. I had a colonoscopy on Friday. It's been 3 years since I had 1. My Dad had colon cancer in 1998, but survived. So this was my 3rd colonoscopy. During my last 1 they found a polyp, so that's why I had to go 3 years later. Prep on Thursday was horrible. A liquid diet all day & then I had to drink 2 different things & pretty much stayed up all night. At 4am on Friday I had to drink 64 more ounces of a drink. At 1 point I felt like I was going to throw up, but I made it through it. The colonoscopy went well & I didn't have any polyps this time, so I don't have to go back for 5 years. So happy about that.

Happy Mail Lately
This ornament I got from a new pen pal in Italy. She mailed it the beginning of December & I just got it on Saturday. We thought her letter was lost. Glad I got it.
Cute cat card from a pen pal. She has 7 cats.
Late Christmas card. I think it's really cool from Arizona.
Huge stash of happy mail from a swap that I did.

Hey, It's Okay
--To need more hours in the day to get things done. That's why I'm writing this at 10:55 pm when I should be in bed.
--To be happy to get rid of old clothes & old stuff.
--To enjoy getting surprise gifts.
--To look forward to a free weekend when my family can just hang out & do some things on the to-do list. Some little mini make overs in the house.

Monday Motivation
I thought I would do a new feature Monday Motivation. I know Monday is almost over, but I'll try to post it earlier in the day next time. Some type of motivational quotes or happy/positive sayings.
