This week, I have on Maybelline Color Show~Blue Freeze, Pure Ice~Jamaica Me Crazy, my pinky finger is Salon Perfect~Plumeria & the blueish glitter is Pure Ice~Over you. I guess I have a lot going on here today.
Tara is now 6 & 1/2 years old. I can't believe she will be 7 in July. Time really has gone so fast. Some of her friends turned 7 this month & we met them when they were 3, so it's really strange. Some words that I would use to describe her:
She is good at math. Loves dancing, singing, scrapbooking/smashbooking, collecting things, vlogging, being crafty & peace signs.
Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 is great if you are outside in the cold. It really feels like it protects your lips.
I bought this cream not too long ago. I put on our bathroom counter, so I remember to use it after I wash my hands. I also use it on my feet & legs.
I use the Rose salve in the Winter on my lips at bedtime.
I use Aquaphor everynight before I go to bed. It's really thick & a little greasy, so I mostly use it at night. But when I gets cold here & dry inside from having the heat on, my fingers crack & bleed. So I try to start using this in September.
This weekend went so fast & I feel like I really got nothing done. Busy with b-day parties & get togethers with friends. Things have been stressful here. Issues with the Drama Queen. Not really sure how to handle her anger. It seems to be getting worse. I'm thinking of taking a yoga class & seeing if they have a kids 1 & also starting to meditate. Trying to be positive, but it's hard sometimes. I hate to post gloomy posts, but sometimes you just have to.
I love this new polish. It's from Loreal, it's dark blue & has flecks of silver in it. It's kind of the rough/sandy type of polish, which I've been avoiding (I hate bumpy nails, sometimes even chunky glitters bug me).
It's been really cold here this week. It was 1 degree this morning when we went down to the bottom of the driveway to wait for the school bus. Today we have a high of 19. So I usually dress in layers, sometimes I wear 3 sweaters & my coat. I have a lot of itchy sweaters, I'm wearing 1 today. I really should get rid of a few of the itchy 1s.
I have on my Bear Paw boots today (I also love my Uggs). At night, I sleep in warm pjs & 2 pairs of socks. I think 5 blankets & electric blanket on 8. On the weekends we use the wood stove. We have a fireplace that has never been used. Hubby pinky swore that we would use it this Winter. I think, for Valentine's day.
It also helps having a cute cat to cuddle with.
So far this week, we had a holiday & then a lazy day for me today & tomorrow probably a snow day (since we are getting a snowstorm, as I type). So I plan on doing a few things on my list of goals this week. I want to do a few scrapbook pages of photos that I've taken so far this year. I want to keep up with it before I get behind. I also want to finish a smashbook soon. I made my own about a year & 1/2 ago & it's still not done. It just has random stuff in it, so it shouldn't be too hard to finish right? Then I can aim to finish another book. I have too many hobbies going on at once, so nothing ever gets done. I also want to work on finishing some more magazines that I am behind on. I have some from September. I also need to start exercising this week. So that's my plan. We'll see what I get done. I will post some pics if I finish any scrapbook pages.
I've been really bad since the week of Christmas, so it's been about a month. I'm still eating gluten free foods, mixed in with non gluten free foods. Not so good. My stomach is more bloated & I have red itchy toes (if I have gluten or too much gluten I have 2 toes that get really red & itchy & then burn. 1 of my friends has celliac & her pinky finger gets a rash & really itchy when she has gluten. Sometimes you don't always know that there is gluten in something & you think that you are being good.) So I am going to try to start over. I was doing so good. But with X-mas, New years & now the month of b-day parties (Tara's friends) & football get togethers. I'm going to try to find more recipes on Pinterest. I feel like I only have a few things that I like & can eat. So I eat the same thing everyday. Gluten free chex (rice or vanilla) everyday for breakfast with rice milk, chia seeds & sometimes granola & fruit. Lunch is salad. Dinner chicken or gluten free pasta with sauce. I had planned on being good after New years, but it just didn't happen. So it's never too late to start. I'm also seeing my nutritionist on Wednesday. It's been a while since I've seen her. She's great.
We had a bunch of things planned for today, lunch with my Dad, Birthday party for 1 of Tara's friends & we were going to see our friend's band. Well we woke up & it started snowing. Really big snowflakes & it added up quick. I didn't even know that it was suppose to snow. So I called my Dad in Massachusetts & told him not to come up (he was going to sleep over, so we could go see our friend's band). It was raining where he is. so I e mailed my friend & told her that we couldn't go see her hubby's band. Then the b-day party was postponed until tomorrow. We already have plans to go to our friend's house to watch the game, the same time as the b-day party. Tara's friend's Mom said she would bring Tara with her, so I'm happy about that. She can still go to the party. It is a disco dance party with strobe lights & a disco ball. I'm kind of bummed out that we won't get to see the kids dancing, but hopefully my friend will take some pics.
Today I have on the Icing's Low Rider. It's a really pretty color, but when I went to put it on, it was dried up. I added a bit of nail polish remover to it & shook it good, but it was still thick & lumpy. So I think I will be throwing this away. Another polish from Icing was all dried up & when I went to take the brush out it, stuck to the bottom of the bottle. So I also have to throw that away. I was at the mall today & went into Icing to see if they had any polishes that I liked. They had all new bottles, new designs & different colors. None of them looked that great, but hopefully the new formula won't dry up after a year.
Lately I have been getting a lot of inspiration from some Bloggers & You tubers. My fave You tuber is Missglamorazzi.
Ingrid from Missglamorrazi
She is so bubbly & positive that I feel happy after I watch her videos. I also have been reading "The Happiness Project" & that has inspired me a lot.
Here are some things that they have inspired me to do:
*Buy some baskets for organizing
*Empty my make-up, shampoos, lotions etc.. (I never seem to use them up)
*Shower more (I know, what can I say, I'm a Mom)
*Buy a face mask
*Buy a hair deep conditioner
*DIY more things like lip scrubs & face masks
*Make handmade gifts for people
*Try to get together with friends more (just the girls)
So far I've gotten 3 scrapbook pages done this year, but the pictures are from November & December. I want to start working on some pictures from this year & keep up with them better. Maybe get a new scrapbook. I never put the pages right in the book, but if i buy 1 for this year, maybe I can put them right in. I also went to Target last week & got that little paper pad in the corner on the top.
I feel like my to-do list is getting longer & longer. Between things I have to do & things the hubs has to do. This is a busy birthday month for Tara's friends. So we have a b-day party every Saturday for 3 weeks in a row. The 1st 1 was today & we got nothing done really around the house. It was nice to see my friends today (her friend's Moms). So tomorrow will be catch up. Hoping we can get a lot done. It seems like the days just fly by. I got 2 scrapbooking pages done last night & I'm still working on organizing my craft room & de-stashing. A few things that need to get done:
1. Tara's extra homework, since she missed 4 days of school
2. She has to make 2 birthday cards
3. I have magazines to look at from the library & work on the book that I am reading from the library
4. Anthony has to clean the downstairs shower
5. We have to go out in the neighborhood selling Girl scout cookies (just to a few neighbors)
6. Catch up on letters, catch up on magazines, scrapbooking, smashbooking, e mails, printing photos (for me always)
I love to shop & usually buy a nailpolish or shirt once a week. I'm working on getting rid of some old clothes, so out with the old & in with the new right? I have a "Things to buy" list, but never seem to get to it. So I really want to work on that. Buy 1 thing a week from the list. I usually end up finding something else in the store that I wasn't planning on buying.
So I started reading the book. "The Happiness Project". I've been wanting to read it for about a year. I finally got it from the library. I already started organizing & throwing things away before I got the book. I'm working on my office/guest room/craft room right now. It's slowly coming along, Tara has been home since Dec 20th for school vacay & then last Thurs & Fri because of a snowstorm & then Monday & Tuesday because she has the stomach flu. So it's been-slow going. I'm also doing a 100 item purge on a FB group that I'm in. I wish I had made a list of what I got rid of.
